Kinda in a Dilema...
Spec'd by Pred-z
230/232 .612/.595 111+2 LSA
No mill on heads, this is a Comp Cam XFI/XE-R lobes
9* overlap so nice lope, peak 62/6300 rpm with a pull till 6600 easy.
With LS6 Ported Oil pump
DBL roller timing chain, adjustable
Underdrive pully
Rebuilt Stock rockers
and all the necessary gaskets, fluids, bolts.
For a little over 1300 shipped.
And still have plenty of money afterwords for a tune, and possibly some Prostars for the back.
Or I can get a H/C package for around 1800 from tsp
and still have a couple hundred for the oil pump underdrive pully, and possibly the RR's. But then have nothing left to have the car tuned... And I would still need to get head bolts and gaskets, and some other misc stuff that I know adds up quick.
What would you do?
then start saving for a rearend lol
I know it should be a no brainer. But I was wondering what you guys would do.
Now to pic the heads that would best suit that cam....
Im thinking 5.3's milled down to say 61cc. and have the valves resest so I would have no problems with PTVC. Then run OEM Head gaskets. I think that would be a good combo.
What do you guys think on that????
