Default LQ9 - LS1 interchange able parts?

I will be using a 6.0L iron block for a turbo build and cannot find in the searches what parts can (or need to) be used from the LS1? Parts like the oil pan, lifter trays rocker arms etc.

A LS1 rear cover seal can not be used on a LQ4 block. I learned that one the hard way.

I used all the accessories and covers and sensors from my LS1 with my LQ4 block. Heads too of course. Only thing was for the alternator I could only use 2 bolts instead of 3... but it's been that way for 3 years now.

Ohhh and also the LS1 has the oil dipstick provision in the pan, and the iron block has it in the block... you need to do something about that or you'll spit oil all over... I just covered the one in the block and used my GTO pan.

That's about all I can remember though... correct me if I'm wrong.

You can use the cover, it is the cover seal that is different.

pan, p/u tube and windage tray are different. If your putting it in an f-body, you will need to drill and tap a hole for the alternator bracket.

So the front a rear covers from LS1 can be used on the LQ4 block but not the rear cover seal?

So you used every cover and seal from the ls1? valley cover, front and rear cover, oil pan etc. all of it? what about internals? lifters, lifter trays, rocker arms, rocker arm trays etc.

Ok which pan should i use? im assuming from the other answer the LS1 pan will work but I need to plug the provision in the 6.0l block.

if your putting in an f body, then your f body pan. There is no hole to plug. Everything bolts right up. We have done many motors and swaps. Feel free to call me and I will help in anyway I can. 817-703-3750 Billy

This is only an issue when using a GTO oil pan. Use the same plug as is used in the block on the GTO. Not an issue when using the F-Body oil pan, which puts the dipstick through the boss on the block.

Does anyone have input on using an f-body LS1 crank, rods, in an LQ4 block, and what pistons should be used for a rebuild that will use LS1 241 heads. I want a pump gas friendly compression ratio.
