Default Theres alot of related post about this but none answered me

Whats up guys? I know theres a ton of topics floating around here about NA vs FI. I got an LS1 with 92,000 miles on it, no problems what so ever. How ever, when I get back home from afghanistan Im obviously going to blow alot of money on it. My original idea is either a STS turbo with a full set up, external pump, bigger injectors, intercooler, all the add on's. I plan on running it at 8 PSI when I take it to the track or "race" it lol, other then that Id keep it at 6 PSI for normal driving. But Im still concerned about my mileage running boost, I dont want my fun to end quick lol.

My second option is stroking it, a Lunati 408 CI stroker kit in particular. Then getting bigger heads and a 226 cam. WS6Store.com is the one offering me all these parts, these are the direct links to the stroker and heads package
Stroker kit: http://www.ws6project.com/user_stor/...c0d1fef2844fda

Heads/Cam package: http://www.ws6project.com/user_stor/...c0d1fef2844fda

Third and final option, buying a mild LS7 directly from www.texas-speed.com

I dont go to the track that much and the car is a DD so can you guys give me some insight on which option is best for me? I hate to bother you guys but I rarely get time to go online out here and do some real research. Obviously I cant go to my mechanic and ask him these questions lol. Thanks for any and all help guys.

Build a decent forged 347 for boost or even better build a decent forged stroker for boost.

How much would it cost to forge my current LS1?

I would go with lq9 408 stroker. The iron block is strong as hell but its a little heavier but it can handle ALOT more boost than the ls1 block

I didnt wanna spend more then 10grand on my Camaro, I want to buy rims, a few driveline mods, and a cowl hood. So I dont want all 10 grand into the NA or FI decision, I mean if I do all the fuel supporting mods to the turbo would the mileage really make a difference?

Well the stroker kits for the lq9 are $2400, the one you listed is $3700 using the ls1 block. It would probabally be cheaper getting a used lq9 block and using that instead of the ls1 block and it will be alot stronger too. The ls1's are nice but have thinner cylinder walls

2400 + sts fully loaded is near 7,000 grand, plus intall... If I go FI it would pretty much have to be on my stock LS1. TSP offers a 440 CID LS7 short block stroker, how much power would that thing put out? Im considering all my options here, by the way thanks for replying so quickly guys I didnt expect to have an answer on my day off here lol.

You definitely don't have the funds for FI if your entire budget is 10 Gs. I'd say go for N/A in your situation. You won't make as much power, but if you never had it, you won't miss it Boost is addicting and expensive!
