Havent put any miles on her yet, and am hoping that the puter needs time to think about what happened.

Good to hear you got it all fired up & going well. When you tune it you will be very happy!

"Trans Go is a shift reprogramming kit. Unless you are very patient and mechanically inclined, I would let a trans shop do it... We got lucky."

so it's a mechanical shift kit like you used to put in the old TH400
I was going to get the car re-tuned which improves the shifts & the shift points. Is this what the Trans Go mod does or does it help in addition?

Yeah, but its actually ALOT more than the old school shift kits, it involves pulling the valves for gears and replacing a shitload of springs and valves. If you do this I would suggest contacting FLT and getting all the replacement billet pistons, and the composite checkballs as well with the kit....

I would suggest the same as above. Get a set of heads from speed inc, and you will not be dissapointed.

once you get a tune, your idle will be better. Remember, you are putting a lot more air into the engine and getting rid of a lot more, as well. This changes the speed or rate at which these happen and your idle is not going to learn itself. Computers have to be told what to do Try drilling a hole in your throttle body butterfly (small, small one) and that will help if you can't get to the tuner soon. Good luck and congrats on the install!
