New Block for 500rwhp

So i blew the #8 cylinder wall and piston/rod to bits in my car. So now its time for a new build up. I don't know much about engine internals but have been reading alot on here. I am looking for 500rwhp NA and about 600 on spray

My question is what is the best/strongest/cost effective block to get for 500 rwhp?

I want to make it an easy install, not sure if the LS2, LS6, or LS7 have the same mounting points???

Most cost effective way to 500 rwhp (with strength) is with cubes. Use an iron 6.0L block, bore it .030" and use a 4" stroke. This will give you 408 cubic inches. Next, you'll make your 500 rwhp goal easier with a higher flowing intake manifold on top of your ported heads (but the LS6 intake can still do it). You'll also need something in the way of a 240/244 112LSA cam.

I Would Like To See Someone Do A 6.2 Block With A 4.100 Stroke, Trick Flow Heads And A Cam Stated Above Just To See What It Will Do. But For Your Goals I Would Trust Patrick G About Engine Setups. He Knows Way To Much.

hey patrick you said the LS6 intake could work what about the L92/L76 setup?

i know i just wanted someone to build my dream motor so i can see what it will do. i probably will build a lq9 setup as well because of the bang for the buck.

Personally I have not been all that impressed with l92/l76 stuff so far. People are still figuring out what works best for them. I guess I am just not interested in being a test mule for them.
