I wouldnt drive it very much. Your a/f will be all wacky and it probably wont run very good anyway. I certainly wouldnt go getting on it.

My cam is similar to yours and I was able to drive it before tuning it. Do you have efi live? I could give you a tune to look at to get close.

I wouldn't get on it. I wouldn't even drive it unless you were driving it to get tuned

Agreed. What other mods do you have? Did you change injectors or anything like that? How far do you have to drive for a tune? I did a mail order tune to get me rolling and it was about a 3 hour drive South to get my H/C/I car tuned. Bone Stock tune I wouldn't have drove it that far for that long.

Baby it to the tuners shop. If you plan on getting software yourself you can surely get a tune from a member to get you to the shop safely. Most all applications posted have already been done and I know most members have no problem sharing their tunes to help out. I surely will if someone needs mine.

I'm actually having my cam installed right now and i'll have to get the car from the installers house to my house which isn't going to be fun. Then i have to drive it about 45 minutes to the tuner. THis is going to suck!

I have to install injectors too. Do you guys think i can install the injectors and drive 40-50 miles to the tuner? Or should i pay the money to have the tuner install the injectors? I really dont like paying for things i can do myself though.

Sorry for posting this in your thread OP. I just didn't want to start a new thread

If you have the tuner install the injectors he can tune it right there. If you install the injectors yourself, either A.) Take/mail your PCM to your tuner to make adjustments so you can drive it, or B.) Tow it to the tuner.

Well the cam install is complete

I guess i'll have to have the tuner install the injectors or put them on in the parking lot. I drove the car home today and it really doesn't run that bad but my ses light came on.

I drove an hour to my tunner. As for the injectors, they change easy enough. do it in the parking lot or in his shop before the tune.

I wouldn't, i drove my 228/232 untuned and blew a head gasket. I dunno if that's the sole cause of it, but i'm sure it didn't help.

If you all have Geico, get the roadside assistance (its like $5 a month) and they will tow it for free I just sheared off the driver side wheel studs Friday morning on my way home from work, and I called Geico and they towed it almost 50 miles to the shop, for free

Do the cam swap or injectors and have it towed
