the 225cc runner is gonna make for a sluggish low end.
what kind of budget are you working with? what kind of power do you want? there are so many options on the market we can't even begin to help you untill we know what you want.
400rwhp - 224 cam, stage 2.5 5.3L heads, FAST 90/90

if you have 7k for the motor i would do a stroker long block
http://www.texas-speed.com/shop/item...id=45&catid=28
that would get you 450-500rwhp

**** with that kind of budget
futral F14 cam or TSP torquer 2 cam
AFR 205s milled down to get compression as high as possible without flycutting (research how much)
FAST 90/90
450rwhp should be no problem
other option on heads would be the Trickflow 215s...which make killer power as well. you'll have to get roller rockers with them though.

most of the stock ratio rockers will work just fine. do some searching, but i'd guess any of the harland sharp or yella terra rockers would work.
as for pushrods...you'll have to research. other than using hardened..i don't know what would be best..or the size you need.
most heads come with springs...if they don't fit your cam choice...some dual springs rated to .650" should work...shop around.
"what cam" is a loaded question.
i suggest doing some research. there are SO MANY choices. since you say you want 450rwhp and you also mentioned getting a FAST intake, you can go a bit smaller on the cam (more street friendly) and still make the power. where if you stayed with the LS6 intake you'd need a bit more cam to reach your goal...which could slightly affect the street manners.
but cams to check out would be the F14 from futral, TSP torquer 2, or see what Patrick G can spec out as a custom cam
if you want lope, keep the lobe separation angle low...112 or less.
someone recently had Patrick spec a cam around 230/230 .60x lift on a 110 lobe....and it made NICE numbers cam only...
bottom line....do more research....READ...SEARCH

The one thing really missing from the discussion so far is how you use your car. If this is your daily driver, a huge cam might sound cool, but it can suck to live with. With good heads and a Fast 90, 450rwhp should come without too much duration on the cam. I'm hoping to get there on a 228/232 .639/.643 110+1 when I get the funds.
Tony Mamo from AFR has achieved 470+ rwhp from 346ci with the 205cc heads, and a 224/228 .581/.588 114+0 cam. He used every available trick to his advantage, including an electric water pump, pullies, etc. plus a spot on tune. That was also on a C5 vette, which has more room for a quality dual exhaust system.
IMO, using the AFR heads milled to 59cc, the Fast 90, quality headers and exhaust and a good tune; you should be able to reach 450rwhp with a 230 or lower intake duration, and still have good streetable driving manners.
Good Luck!

Launching!
With the budget you mentioned you should be able to get a top notch set of heads. Something along the lines of Trickflow, AFR, ETP. As far as rockers for the Trickflow I personally used the Harland Sharp. You can also use the YT's.
