best budget head
the ls6 patriots stage III are not for the stock ls1 engine. just look at the boreing of those heads. and my quote on the $200 more is because their stage I ls6 heads are $1099.00 and an extra $250 for prc dual springs.
What is the market for these "AS CAST" Heads? I would think that anyone who was willing to pay $2K, would shell out the extra $500-$600 to get a set of CNCd heads. I am not aware of how much yours cost, but i would assume they are competitley priced with my AFRs. BTW, welcome to the site. Have heard great things about your products.

Since you have the AFR heads you know as well as I do that aftermarket castings are better than a stock castings.
BTW thanks for the welcome to the site.

I suggest going real quick to the TEA web site and seing the flow sheet on their new stage two ls6 heads and seing the sale they are having right now. They flow a ton at all lift levels.

We would like to thank everyone for their good words in this thread. All of us here at Patriot have worked hard to bring great performance, quality, and service to everyone...just not people with deep pockets.
For a budget set up, we offer our CNC ported 243 castings, assembled with new oem (non-soduim valves), and our Patriot Gold dual springs for $1095.00 per pair. This is a great deal that is hard to beat. Don't forget that we can offer complete head and cam packages at great pricing. Give us a call and we will be glad to over some options with you.

Oh I have paid to play, just couldn't justify another 1-2k for 10-20hp over the Patriot Heads.
You would be hard pressed to find a 04 LS1 with as much power and torque. You see LS2s close to 500 but not many LS1 NA.
Well it may target the guy that wants a new head with a warranty over a stock ported head with no warranty. Our heads have benefits that the stock ported heads don't offer. For example, a guy who is running a small blower/turbo may want a thicker decked head. Ours have a 9/16" thick deck compared to a factory casting that is around .400" thick.

Why would a ported stock casting not have a warranty? The Livernois ones I have ran always had one (just another reason I use them for my builds). This is right from their site:

I would go with TFS or AFR for known gain and great performance .
