you have a 2002 camaro ss... i would not break into the motor. these cars are getting very scarce nowadays. if i was you i would go no more than full bolt ons. maybe a fast intake and a very good tune. thats it.

i vote t-rex. hands down it is the baddest off the shelf cam you can fit in a stock long block motor. when properly setup a t-rex car will make short use of an ms4 car. it has been proven time and time again.
and this bullshit regarding the powerband of the cams...hahaha. a 3600 stall won't touch the band on either one of those cams, and they will feel exactly the same while stalling. you will not notice a difference locked up @ 30 mph when rolling on the throttle because the ms4 makes 3 more rwtq @ 2,200 rpm
. quit reading numbers and get out into the real world. find guys with these setups. either of those cams will require at the very least a 4000 stall to even think about being useful.
to the OP: i don't think you have any idea what you're doing with regards to cam selection. both cams would make a little bitch out of your setup and you will not be happy.

wow you seem like you know it all...maybe i should come to you with all my future question?
the idea of leaving the SS to a full bolt on car crossed my mind a few times. then i realized that i only drive the car 2-3 months out of the year and i wanted it to have enough kick in it to leave me happy. Hopefully ill one day build a motor from the bottom up in another fbody. but anyway, after i install the cam and its necessary party, build up the trans and throw in a stall, and strenghten the rear, ill be more than satisfied.
i know this is an old post so for those of you who most recently chimed in, thank you. i actually went ahead and ordered the vindicator from vengeance. ive heard only good things from them and that cam and they have been doing a great job. thanks guys.

Either one you can't go wrong, I got the T-REX though, as for the power band thing everyone brings up, power comes in at 3500, but its all the power you will ever want in a cam. My car pulls and pulls on motor and a plus for the T-REX is that cam absolutely loves nitrous.
If I had to drive my car everyday, Drive ability wouldn't be an issue either.
Like I said, both cams are proven cams.

The MS4 has been dyno tested many times next to all the larger camshafts. I have plenty of MS4 camshafts sitting here if you guys want to bring down a camshaft to engine dyno next to it. We work everyday to make sure we offer the best possible products available. I have no problem dyno testing the MS4 next to any other large duration race style LS camshaft.
