Default Need help guys

i have a 99 stock LS1 T/A i wanted to put a cam and heads on it. any advice as which type, brand i should get?? and do i need to install anything else before put the the cam and heads in?

what kind of budget are you working with? What size cam do you want? do you have the supporting mods like headers duels/y-pipe?

everything is stock all i have is a borla catback. as for budget around 2500. for the size thats where i need help i dont really know much about cams i appreciate all the help i can get

yeah get a set of LT and a y-pipe first and a ls6 intake and and ported throttle body

I would use that money for bolt ons first. You need LT's/y-pipe, Ls6 intake, lid, ported tb and then you can get the heads a cam

The cam will only work as well as you let it. I agree with the guys above. I say Longtubes/ ORY and LS6 minimum.

Agree with above except the ported TB is more of a throttle respone mod than HP mod. If your A4 you gotta throw a stall in there first too. Think Yank!!

I agree with the above. You have to provide the air flow for the new heads/cam to function better. Not to say that heads/cam is a bad first mod, you just won't be using them to their full potential until you knock out the basic bolt-ons first.

Also, is $2500 your entire budget, as in parts + install? Install won't be cheap, as you'll need a tune after a heads/cam install.

Yes they are good but if you're on a budget i would get Pacesetters
