Default PRC Dual valve springs - your suggestions

My PRC dual valve springs (rated at .650+ lift) have 30k miles on them, I use the springs with my MS3 cam and my engine is perfect - no sputtering, no misfires, no unusual noises, etc…..Pulls like an animal and no signs of Valve float. Im just worried that they have 30k miles on them, When should I change them out?

Either change them now, or if you want to, pull a couple and test the spring pressures to try and get every last bit of life you can out of them. You can get replacement spring coils for about a hundred if I recall. Probably worth it to just replace them.

Contact the vendor you bought the springs from. They should be able to get you a set. The Ti retainers make up most of the cost of the kit. No sense buying those all over again.

Are you saying that you would replace the titanium PRC retainers that came with his original kit? Why would you do that?!? They dont wear out like the coils do.

you could buy another set, replace, then test the ones that you removed. if they still have good pressure, save them for the next 30k

No dude I'm just saying that when you do a cam swap if you still have stockers replace the springs, rods and retainers . Titanium retainers will last for along time of corse. But when I went heads I went with dual springs which came with the heads along with the retainers, reused the TR rods.

To err on the safe side I would replace them if you don't have the capability to test and shim as needed to desired open and closed pressures. $100 and 4 hours of cussing installing them are better than dropping a valve into a piston.

I have a tad over 20K on my Patriot Golds with my TR224 and they are only down a few lbs over new.

I would change all the springs, because with 30,000 miles they will be stressed , I use the PRC Platinum springs .670 lift., I had the PRC gold .660 springs and when i removed them they were different height by .200" with 15,000 mile, BUT i was maxing them out ,with .651 lift cam. So i up graded. But the best part i never broke any of the with that lift. PRC is a grate spring
