By the way I tapped in at 119, not the 120 the other person mentioned but that is more driver error. My 6 speed gives me fits
you only trapped 119 with 480rwhp?

lol good catch. I'd be pissed if I only trapped 119 with a heads/cam car that had a cam that big. You'd have to be over 4000lbs to trap that low with 480 at the wheels.. or maybe it was just a friendly dyno

i am the one patrick was talking about with the megadeath cam... its fun dont get me wrong.. i am a nit picker from hell... lol i enjoy the cam and i was extremely suprised with the driveability i have on this size of a cam... BUT i dont want any cam surge... i can rip the tires first second and a bit of third on dr's... the car appears to be way faster and will sit you back hard in the seat... but where it counts for me most is at the track.... which on bolt ons i ran 12.3 @ 113 obviously my combo before was working great together... which now i went to the track and ran 12.3 @113 with this cam... with a 2.2 60' though where as on bolt ons i ran a 12.3 with a 1.8 60' the clutch slipped a bit... on bolt ons i made 360hp with this cam i made 446... why am i not dropping more at the track with this 80hp gain? maybee the pwoer isnt where it should be lol... but i am going to give it one more shot on some mt's and a new clutch. if it does not run 11.7 like i plan i am throwing it in the trash or making a lamp out of it lol

It could be the track conditions or it could be the fact that you made 80 more hp for only 1000 rpms and lost a ton of low end leading up to that point. Sounds crazy but huge cams aren't always the best for track ET's but I would think it would mph more.

thhe clutch did slip though. i am still running a stock clutch that has at least 100 track passes on it... up top where it made 80hp it slipped... i had to bleed it at the track and switch fluid to limp it home... once it cooled it was okay to drive... i am sure it might trap in the 115-116 mph zone... it should run a 11.7. but i could have done that on an x1 cam with no sacrafice in driveability... now it does pull hard... trust me. it was one of those... i hear about it i have to see for myself kind of things... i am the learn from experience type rather then some internet dumbshit who talks about this and that but still has headers and exhaust... i have to go try it and give it a fair shot... my car is no slouch and if anyone in the area cares to see what the md is about lmk.. the car spun alot in first and over powered the nittos... but in its peak power the clutch slipped.

I believe Slowhawk tuned one this KILLER MD CAM and from 3000 to 5000 it lost like 70FT TQ over the 228 that was in the car and then only picked up 10RW Peak

Think he was happy
This cam is hyped and too big for a 364 let alone a 346...

regardless if the cam comes alive later in the band i still have 365-370lbs of torque on tap... then its a major increase in torque... that bit is what makes people cry thier stomach hurts lol... its funny then hp takes over and pulls hard as hell to 6800... now first and second gear is like sitting in a frieght train.. third is not as strong but i cant give you an honest answer because i havent had a clutch strong enough to play with... so stay tuned for my full review

if i could do it again i would of kept my mti x1 and sprayed a little. but honestly i think a 150 shot and some nice heads would wake it up... even a 391 or 410 gear with that...

sig states before cam 12.3 @ 113... lol i did the pulley, cam and what not recently. like i said the clutch slipped and it wasnt a great run with a 2.2 60'. when i get a clutch i will try again... it was a new setup on a stock clutch. no biggie. i dont like the cam but my car is no slouch and i will try my best to get what i can out of it and get it on the sites so people who want this cam later know what to expect... thats all i am here for (when i was interested int he cam noone posted times so i nominated myself to get times for other people interested)... if you were closer i would call you out... lol the way it sits on mt's and a healthy clutch i can get 11.7s with practice..

here are some track vids of us on bolt ons with open exhaust lol

well that explains a lot more, get a clutch that can hold the power. You could be losing anywhere from 5-10 mph in the traps from a failing clutch. After seeing that dyno you should be trapping 116-117 easily with a working clutch and probably closer to 120 with some gears.

yeah i would keep it if it trapped 116.. it overpowered the tires out the hole then at peak power the clutch failed to hold.. after the first pass of 12.3 the next pass it went 12.5 i think then a final of 12.8 at a 89mph woohoo then we said no more cuz we had to drive it home

ME---->6'/2" and 385lbs so thats worth a tenth or two

Hey dont get me wrong I think this cam has a place,u need a verter and or good clutch,3.91's,Fast intake for it to really shine but DONT say its a street type cam..

Oh by the way WE have the 6sp LS2 Cam only Record over on GTO..
11.64@119 with a little ole 232 cam

trust me i was scared of everyone saying it was not streetable. i was very very suprised of the driveability... i mean you cant just got into 6th ever around town lol.. but its not anywhere near as bad as peoplt hink but i like it to drive like stock. lol i am sure i could weasle out a 11.64 if i tried hard...lol it has the power but definetly needs some gearing... i weight 170lbs my raceweight is 3550 with me in it call it constructive weight managment

like i said... i am not here to fight for this cam. any cammed ls2 will run strong the motor and heads respond well to any type of mod. my main goal was to inform the ones who wanted it in the future. i see everyone with md cams saying they beat this guy or that guy and made x amount of hp but i never saw a track time... i needed a track time for this cam and will work to get it... i wont go all out either.. i want a time based on the improvments from this cam alone. i wont do gears or anything until i get that time... i will however equip the car to handle the new power. that way people can see what it does and not go off of the hype... i love that old school sound it gave the car too... with the h-pipe and blowmasters its the sound i was looking for.

p.s. this cam should not be tuned by some fast tuner who takes 10 minutes to tune it. lol i think it needs to be both street tuned and dyno tuned for max improvements and drive ability. i think patrick could get more ou of this cam if he took a good shot at it... plus my exhaust was a factor also
