Default ? about crane dual springs

I was thinking of getting some comp 918s, but some say they are not reliable and wear out after couple thousand miles. I found these crane dual springs...heres the link

http://www.sdparts.com/catalog/lsgen...veSprings.aspx

they are not the 1.290 that the ls1 needs, but 1.275" in diameter
Ya'll think they'll still work

The Crane 832's are a good spring. I have the 833's which are the same physical size that I transferred from stock 243 castings to Dart 225cc castings when I swapped heads.

It's best to install these at 1.740" installed height to increase pressure. Depending on the cam lobe profile, these have been known to allow valve float at the upper end when installed at 1.800".

I think i might go with the ...198-8401 patriot kit...thunder racing has it with titanium retainers, locks, seals and dual springs for $ 265...that honestly sounds too cheap with those retainers
http://thunderracing.com/catalog/?ac...vid=3&pcid=109 at the bottom of the page

thanks for your input...any ideas on those?

The Patriot 'Gold' are a good spring also. For the money, the Patriot kit is a better buy than the Crane 832 kit.

I got my patroit duals right from their website for $255.00, and hardened pushrods for $105.00, great deal considering the Ti. retainers.

No, the kit includes the parts for one engine.
