Default 6.0L Head gasket delemma

Ok guys, need your help here. I am building a 6L here, it has a stock Lq4 bottom end and ported 243 casting heads. (63cc) The rule of the game here is that I need to achieve the best possible quench without buying aftermarket head gaskets. FYI, the pistons on this motor are .013" out of the hole. What I need to know is the following information (please fill in the blanks as best as you can) for stock GM head gaskets.

Gasket Type Bore Size Compressed Thickness Part #:

LS2 Head Gaskets
LS3 Head Gaskets
L92 Head Gaskets

I think I can get close to the .040 quench I'm in search of using a stock gm gasket of some sort. I just keep finding conflicting info on the following gaskets listed above. Once again, please help me fill in the blanks.

TIA

Aaron's post for head gasket part numbers and compressed thickness spread sheet should be made a sticky. I have been searching for this for over an hour now. Thanks for this great info Aaron.

Yea, wish I had better advice for you, however, an O ringed setup we have used few times, but have had better success with no O ring and GM MLS gasket in power adder setups. So our stance on it, why go through the trouble and potential coolant issues.

We've tried cometic phuzion gaskets, no luck, in our shop car SCE ICS "self sealing" went through 2 sets of them, following the installation procedures. Between those 2 sets of gaskets only managed 2 dyno pulls. Yet a set of 6.0 MLS gaskets got us through hot rod drag week, with 1,000 miles of driving.

Thanks Fraser, but I dont have time to ditch the o-ringed heads..motors is going in this weekend and I never had an issue with them leaking, but always had access to graphite gaskets. This could be an effoer in futility, but Im trying the 5 layer MLS Ls3 head gaskets.

fraser

What happened to the cometic phuzion gaskets. I bought a set they are different then the SCE Titan gaskets in the setup the oring is not actually part of the gasket ..it is not "sandwiched" between the layers like the SCE Titan. I would like to know how and why you think they failed...just talking about the phuzion gaskets.

Thanks for tour time

the ring from the phuzion gasket broke apart and ended up in the combustion chamber.

They were installed on LASTLS1's car FWIW

FWIW, i run an oring in my iron block and no reciver ring in the head AND use an MLS gasket all while hitting it with a 400+ shot of N2O. no issues so far ! ( heck , i even reused the gasket!)
