I wouldn't run it, M1 5W30 is too thin as it is INMHO, I prefer the 40wts, like M1 0w40 or what I'm running now, the 5w40 for trucks.

I've run this a few times. It works fine for me. I have an engine that NEVER burns oil and the intake and catch can are always bone dry, however.

RP, Amsoil, German Castrol, Redline = Group 4 Synthetics

M1 = Group 3

I run M1 5/30, sometimes i might get another brand, as long as its full synthetic my car runs good on it.

my lt1s been running on mobile 1 5 30 its entire life with mobile filter. At 160k now still gets 20-22mpg and holds nice oil pressure. I'm also running 5-30 with a K&N filter in my 68 LS1. I was going to try 0w30 in it since it seen 60psi at idle as it is with the high volume pump. I dont think it would hurt, just run a quart extra if you're concerner about oil starvation.
