99' TA a4 medium blue metallic - free mods + K&N cold air intake, MSD wires, Pacesetter longtubes wide open
You will not get 11's outta this in a auto without a cam & stall with full weight & no weight reduction. Not without juice anyway.

thanks.
In the previous post i had originally asked a stupid question but had to erase it? Thats what i meant.
And no i dont think that 11s are an easily achieveable on my setup even after a cam, even with slicks - i mean this car is running a 13.7 out here now.
Im thinkin 12.5 at around just around 110 after the cams im lookin at + slicks. Ill be more than happy with that and it still be daily driveable.

id love to see a 1.7 60 ft with "no traction" and "spinning". what a load of crap, if u got a 1.7 you obviously had no lack of traction. i guess maybe he heard a little chirp out of the tires so that means he was spinning wildly out of control.

So really, SSickLS1 should be investing in a torque converter first and not a cam. I apologize for assuming he had one and thats where my comment about running 11's SI came from.
Personally, installing a cam into a car with a stock torque converter is a waste of time. For best results go with a torque converter first then worry about a cam.

My buddy went 11.9 on his 99 auto z28....mods were lid, hooker lt's,cutout, flow crap cat back, 3400 stall if i remeber, magic stick 3,shift kit, minor suspension mods, nitto drags
so its not im possible, and i agree to what people are saying invest in a TC first and have your cam matched to it, YANK is having a converter sale right now if you look over in the sponsor sales & specials section, your also going to need a tranny cooler

haha 11s on bolt on 3700lb cars dont happen in the real world....and no 2 tracks are the same....yeah the si list is impressive but it really doesnt take alot to put a 2800-3000lb car in the 11s....why do you think fox bodies run so good its not hp its the light wieght of the car....at the track i race at it takes a VERY stout h/c/i setup to go 11s....
