Default Sub 300 Hp Camaro In The Mid 12's

Ok i had a pretty much stock 00 SS it now has a lid, Lt's, slp underdrive pully, dynomax cat back, baby cam(221/221 559. 559. 114 lsa), MT DR's, and 3.55 gear, i took my car to my tuner (bluecat) and we only got 298 rwhp. he told me my converter was not locking and was useless (tci 2700 stall). so i said screw it and took it to the track anyways. the car went 12.564 @ 105.366 1.772 60' and 7.978 1/8. so i ordered a vig 3200 stall and put a cutout in. but i was happy as hell to see those #'s in a 298 hp camaro. i'll keep you guys updated on the track #'s when i go back with a good converter. just though i would share the story.

Screw the dyno #s. Track #s are all that matter. Good numbers.

BTW, what does your sig mean. Does it refer to "kill or be killed"? Was all I could think off.

" I'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6 "

Better to wind up convicted in a courtroom than to be in the box!

The bad TC is probably the cause of not putting down higher numbers - the power has to get from the engine to the wheels before it can be registered................

+1^^^ dynos are just for comparing your car to your car on the same dyno for tuning. not for your car to other cars on different dynos i know we all know this but somtimes we get caught up in the hype.

yeah that trap is REALLY low for that e.t., really low, usually a 105 is around a 13.0 or more, somethings not adding up

plaf I agree with you. I'm about 13 flat and ~300 rwhp. I wonder what the 60' was.

btw, plaf your link in the sig should not be plural. It's outlet, not outlets. Not trying to get all pedantic just thought I'd let you know.

Dyno numbers don't mean ****, expecially for a stalled auto. My friends 450 rwhp M6 only beats my 377 rwhp A4 by .25 in the 1/4 mile.

I would say that its Clay City (Mountain Parkway Motoplex) if I was going to guess considering Kentucky and how close they are to it and its the closest dragstip to them being right outside of Lexington. Nice dragway but been there for a long time.

That trap speed is about correct for an A4. Remember horsepower is what makes MPH. I run 12.7 at 103-104 with 300 rwhp at 3200 ft DA.
