Anyone know anything about this cam? They claim 430 HP. Is that crank or wheel horsepower? Thanks!

most people can net 360-370RWHP from an ls6 cam and springs for around $100-200
Paying 350-400 for the edelbrock cam seems rediculous
I know of quite a few people who ran 224's on a 114 untuned for over a year and made great power

Those results are over a stock ls6 cam in a 2001 ls6.
Yea you can run a tr224 untuned but it isnt a dream to drive and your not doing yourself any favors. I ran a tr224 for a year and a half I know what the cam drove like untuned. Made some power yes but not near as much as with a good tune.
This Edelbrock avoids all that and I offer it with springs and pushrods for less than you can get a mid size cam that requires more money to properly utilize it.
You seem to miss the point of the cam... no tune, no rear-end, no clutch issues, no trans issues.. You need to look at the big picture and half assing a cam install and not tuning it for a year is not something I would do or recommend to anyone.
Have a small budget and want to do it yourself this is perfect for some extra power and hands on experience. You could even go so far as to use it to practice tuning if you wanted to learn how to tune. Is is the end all megadeth cobra slayer cam..LOL no, it was never intended to be.
and its ridiculous to think you;ll get 370 rwhp just by swapping to an ls6 cam in your ls1. Show me the proof on that one..LOL
I put a tr224 cam only in and didnt hit 370 without supporting mods or a tune.

Lets see the graph. You put down more power than most guys do with a medium sized cam and an M6 trans.
Again, Edelbrock tested that to be the power gained over an LS6 cam in a 2001 ls6.
Cam only with an M6 I put down 355 with a tr224 and few supporting mods.

Oh so now the rest of the story comes into play : a tune, intake, TB, headers. The whole point of this cam is no tune required to gain more power.
Give this cam those supporting mods and you be doing better than what Edelbrock has stated obviously. Try comparing apples to apples next time
With just a tune and no mods you can gain power over an oem tune no matter what cam is in there.
You've missed the point or ignored it completely. Dont bother with your graph its useless in this case.

Not going to happen.
I cant even venture a guess to be honest with you. From my experience you just cant say. It all works together and your allowing it to breath better with the LTs and intake. I would guess conservatively 20 more HP with intake and LT's. But at that point you would really want a tune to maximize things and not being major mods you could get away with an inexpensive mail order from Trifecta.

The flapping wing represents a small change in the initial condition of the system, which causes a chain of events leading to large-scale alterations

I was just trying to compare it to a "medium" size or what most people would think of as even a "baby" cam like a 224/224. I guess I just can't see spending the money and/or the effort to do a cam and spring swap and only gain about 30 crank HP or a little more. An engine won't "need" a tune (although it would definitely benefit from it) because it's just a little more than a stock cam lol
