Stock cam and springs yes, supposedly right around 50k miles.

Won't shaving them change my pushrod length requirement?

I'll prolly just wait and get a set of 5.3 heads I have worked over. Keep in mind I'm in the middle of swapping this into my car...I have $4k in it so far and its not even running yet. I still have to buy fuel system stuff and pay for tuning.

Besides I'm going from a 330hp 355 to a cammed LS1, I'm sure I'll be plenty happy with the power difference

You would just need to either do the math on it or get a pushrod length checker. I'm running 5.3 heads milled .018" with FelPro stock replacement head gaskets & 7.400" pushrods. Haven't had a single issue.

Well I had the machine shop check spring pressure with my new springs installed. Seat pressure varies from the 50s up to where it belongs in the 100s.

Either a member sold me some shitty springs or the heads were factory **** ups (which would explain why the stock engine wiped the cam too I suppose.

Now this is just my opinion but I have always went with the better safe than sorry theory. Pull the head off and check everything out just to be on the safe side. good luck.

Yeah heads are off and at the machine shop and I'm glad he checked the seat pressure cause other wise my brand new comp cam would look just like that one pretty quick.
