Default Trying to Id heads?

Got a set of heads that have 317 on one end and the other side is ground off. Looks like somebody was trying to hide something.
The number on the side of the head says: 0030415313722319. Is this the right number for a set of 317 heads? Jus wanna make sure before I start bolting up and something gets fudged up.

317 heads are from the 6.0L trucks! They have a higher cc chamber in the 70's I believe.

The search buton is your friend!

All heads I've seen have the number on one end and nothing on the other.
The number should be cast into it meaning it is raised up. If your number is stamped, then yea someone's pulling some ****.

the deck side will always have the displacement cast somewhwre
i.e. 5.7 for ls1/ls6 6.0 for ls2/lq4/lq9, etc.

Yea, it says 6.0 under the deck, but I was unsure about the casting number. Looked like it could have been stamped. Don't know why someone would want to do that, but everybody is trying to make a buck I guess, whether it's honest or dishonest.

Yea, they look to be raised, but I am curious as to why the other side was ground off. Shouldn't it just be blank if there was nothing there?

Just found another set of 317's and the number on the side is the same, so that answers that question, thanks for the help guys.
