TSP Torquer V.3 Questions
So I think I'm going to go for a cam only setup with my car. I was doing some research on a few different cams, and the TSP Torquer V.3 caught my eye. I was looking at a few other people's threads with their numbers. I did notice a high rwhp but not so much on the tq, on a few dyno sheets that cam topped out at about 377 rwtq gaining only 8 ftlbs from where I sit now. My torque number how my car sits currently are in my sig. With that cam stock heads and a FAST 92/92 setup will I see a big jump with both my HP and TQ or should I look at different cams?

The torquer 3 camshaft is a comp cams ground LSK/XER lobe camshaft. The 231/234 lobes have proven to be a very good combo for power & driveability. I think you'll find it does very well for boosting power output. I have some engine dyno sheets from before & after I'll find for you

It's an M6
I would really like to see those. As I sit now I'm a full bolt on car with a FAST92/92 and I don't want to go through the work of a cam install if the gains won't be worth it. So hopefully I can get some more insight into this cam, and maybe I'll do a cam only setup before I go FI....

That's Torquer V3. 231/234 with .649/.598 on a 111 LSA. It's a great cam. I have the PRC Stage 2.5 heads with a Ported FAST 90, my numbers are in my sig. (#s in sig through a catted Y pipe and GMMG.) I was having clutch problems though. Still on the factory clutch, , and on the 2nd dyno pull the shop was starting to reek of burnt clutch. Went one more pull after that and decided to stop. Not knowing what my clutch was doing, I think it could have broke 400 ft/lbs if my clutch wasn't disengaging fully.

Best advice, don't get hung up on HP and TRQ #s. My car pulls like a freight train until my shift point at 6500 RPMs. This has been said before, but don't let the name "Torquer" make you think this cam is a Torque Monster like the old L98 TPI set up where the torque # was more than the HP #. It's still a great performing cam. While I have no track numbers yet this, IMO, is the only solid basis to determine performance. Even going by #s, from what I've read of other peoples dyno results, I'm only like 7 HP and 12 ft/lbs behind a MS4 with the same heads. Take a look at some MS4 Cam Only #s if you are staying stock heads and see how that compares to your current setup. You may be suprised.

Its a great cam for sure, you wont be disappointed. I dont know for sure, but I think the 5.3l heads will give more tq than the Stg.2.5 LS6's. Call TSP and talk to them, they will help w/ whatever. Some of the smaller cams give more tq also, just keep doin that research!

I will try to find my dyno sheet its awesome. The TQ#s in your sig are very high for a bolt on car. Before my swap I was 332rwhp 344rwtq and afer the swap I gained 72rwhp and 40rwtq. The car runs like a beast I have run with H/C cars and been neck and neck.
I love this cam I think if I had true duals or just no cats I would have been over 410rwhp
not that dyno #s mean anything the car just pull hard. A cam swapis the most noticable mod I have ever done to my car and I can't imagine you would be disapointed. Since you already have the fast 92 set up you should get heads at the same time if torque is a big thing for you get the 5.3 heads the will give a little more torque. Have fun!!

V.3 with 5.3 heads made 440 through a A4 and the cam is so mild for the power that it makes that you'd never get second guessed about racing a stokk LS1 lol
