LT's will yield much better gains. I mean I have LT's and a cutout so I would do both. But thats just me

No, the biggest cork in the flow of the engine is the manifolds. The stock units will only allow so much air through, with LT's you get more flow, and a better chance to scavage air and push through the stock muffler.

A Cat out is used to circumvent the Muffler, like I said 2 different things.\

Depending on cat back choice, you may or may not need to put a cut out on.

i have LT pacesetters, ory (no cats), QTP electric cutout, and a mangaflow muffler at the back. it sounds nice and is pretty quiet closed....but open the cutout and its loud as hell. i actually gained 13 rwhp on a mustang dyno with the cutout open. 356 rwhp closed 369 open.

Doing longtubes OFTEN need the pcm tune adjusted.

I had a SLP lid, Dynatech headers WITH cats and a Corsa. I was running lean and running 6 deg of knock retard.
