Depends on who does the port job and what castings they are.

Anywhere from lose power to 40 hp+++

+1 might want to look into just getting some 243s and do a little bit of touch up on them . stage x port jobs are different from various folks as well as various results .

wrong ls1=227
ls6=250
5.3 4.8=221
6liter 317=245

all at .600 on the intake and all flow close to the same on the exhaust..

you will see nice gains if material was taken from the right places in the runners....i say go for it..

We offer cnc porting of our customers castings for $600 with valve job & decking! For a budget setup that's a good option, but really the PRC ls6 heads are outright for just over $1000. When you consider your getting proven performers with new castings it's pretty hard to beat! Besides you can then ebay your stock heads for 100 bux or so & be in a set of good quality proven heads for under $1000!!

Shawn, we do port 241 castings. We can run our same 220cc 5.3L program on the 241 castings.

ZMONSTER!: He is refering to factory castings.
