did you pinch the O ring? thats what seems to have happenend, or did you leave the oil pressure sending unit loose? Or did your break it and not notice?

Its either:
1. Bad oil pump (yes I see its new-it can still be bad)
2. Left out the O ring for the pump-pickup tube
3. Pinched the pickup tube O ring during assembly.
4. Oil level is too low.
5. Broke the OP sending unit.

Its probably #3 or #5.

Did any coolant get down the cylinder bores, because dex-cool will eat engine bearings alive. I wiped the ones in my car the first time i pulled the heads, it was so fast it mad my head spin. But thats worst case, most likely the oil pump to a crap on you. I would use a mechanical guage and turn the motor over a few times to see if it builds some pressure. Unless the o-ring is completey gone you should have some oil pressure.

Default oil tap

Right above the oil filter. You've got to drill and tap it out.

I wouldn't be suprised if you didn't break the oil pressure sending unit man to be honest with you.
