Need 5.3 engine or new shortblock I have a 99 silverado with a 5.3 engine,it got hot and then no oil pressure ! I took it apart and everything looked ok,no spun bearings, And so i took it to a local machine shop and there telling me it has collapsed pistons,but doesnt need bored,but its gonna be$1,900 for rebuild kit and the machine work ,and i had a heartattack ! What should i do? I would like to find a new stock shortblock and resurface and use my heads,does anyone know somewhere i can find this ? Or another engine maybe even a 6.0 with my parts ? Even a newer motor that will work?

i have a 5.3 from an 07 tahoe...all of the accessories(starter, ac comp., etc.) comes with pcm also...pm me for more info...engine still has factory ac delco oil filter on it...engine has 9xx miles on it
