help me decide on the best head choice.

5.3 or 10psi now. I want to get heads but want to know which head I should get should I go with afr's 205cc or 225cc mongoose street or lingenfelter edelbrock's 202cc. small cam 214/218 .6/.59 115lsa? and where can i get the best deal?

I have a small cam with AFR heads and love it. But it depends on how much you want to spend and power you want and were you want it.

I am getting ready to install the AFR 205's myself. Contact Tony Mamo through a PM, he can give you a lot of information and help you determine if the 205 or 225 is a better selection for your goals. He has been very helpful in selecting parts for my setup.

We ship customers our cnc ported stage 2.5 5.3l heads machined for 5.3l heads all the time. With the smaller bore you have to be a little bit careful with the cylinder head & valve size you select. We've installed several sets of our cnc ported 5.3l heads on 5.3 & 4.8 engines with good results.

I can get you some chassis dyno results from our heads on a 5.3l head if you'd like

At $1200 a pair they're really hard to beat!

how much of a difference is there between your ported heads vs the afrs and edelbrocks

We have several customers running our stage 2 5.3 heads with 2.02"/1.57" valves and our Patriot Gold springs. You will see good results with these and for $1195.00 per pair, it's a deal that can't be beat. If you have any questions, please let us know.
