The 243 is simply the better head, that is if it's done right.

On a ls6 cam i think you could mill down the ls6 head more and get more compression than the 5.3 which i think yields 10.75 to 1. Hell, i think, I know, my 228R cam and tsp stage1 ls6 was milled to yield 11 to 1 comp.
