99 blackbird TA,

sorry to hear about your bad experience. My first set came as yours did. however I floated some big names that had flowed my heads and i was freinds with, and Brent took it upon himself to give the next set personal attention. Throughout the whole thing though he was very nice and even offered to give my money back. The second set came in very nice.I beleive they have grown to fast for their ability to spend time on each head thats needed, and are rushing to get them out. Not an excuse but they are overwhelmed w\ work. I do beleive they know their stuff and can turn out a good set, just make sure to let them know you will get them independently flowed, and actually do it and if there are problems let them know. I still think they are good for the cost but again no matter if they are TEA or anybody else you need to get them independently flowed. This is a must.

Thanks for forgetting to mention this lt1 car is a stroker and also forgetting to mention the cubes of the motor. We all know TEA puts out a great product but to obviously try to make them look better than what they are is unfar to the consumer, state the facts dont hide the stroker and larger cubes, this also has a big factor in the power it made

This isn't a TEA Corporate post so I'm going to throw my 2cents in here, we still do LT1-LT4 work to this day, as a matter of fact we have 4 sets on the working floor right now to be completed and shipped, the last set we did on a 5.7 liter Sean Wall's 93 chip car dynoed 378 through ASM shorts and a SINGLE cat M6 Comp 224/230 cam, dyno sheet available. I don't hold the Impala 5.7 stock cube record ET "stocker shocker" class anymore, meaning stock wheels stock weight at 12.40 in change, but were going back after that record next month . NE14A69, are you sure that the above car mentioned is a stroker motor? cause the way it's layed out certainatly strikes me as a stock cube car.

I dyno'd 397 RWHP and 368 RWTQ with THE SAME set-up and a set of heads that were done by a local dirt tracker here in town. I had the stock bottom end. This was 2 years ago, so alot of LT-1 cars are playin around in the 400 RWHP range these days. My flow numbers were supposed to be 280/210, but when I pulled them to sell them they only flowed 265/185. I was shocked to know that you could make that kinda HP on such low flow numbers, but I have since learned that flow is deffinatlly not everything. If this car is a stroker, this is weak. If it is stock bottom end, nice numbers.

Change your cam

Im pissed my Little Hot cammed 409 LT4 Stroker only makes 380 RWHP and 410 RWTQ on motor. But hit the switch and shes well over 500 RWHP!.

Thoose numbers seem very high for a heads and cam LT1. Amazing when you consider that hes still running LT1 Heads.

If you aren't at liberty to provide details as to why you wouldn't use TEA then don't post a response hinting at others to not use them either. TEA has SUPERB customer service and they're a terrfic asset to this board. No shop is perfect but TEA has a great track record so far.

No stroker here, Its a 1996 trans Am w\ 62k miles( all mobil1), stock bottom end. I`d be damn disapointed if it was a built stroker. Brent did a great job on these heads. Granted the first set wasn`t up to snuff but they rectified it and the customer service was great.

The heads are decked .20 and I`m running impy gaskets for a CR of 11.1:1. port matched intake and the other items listed above earlier in the thread.

I think its cool to see a few lt1 dyno's in internal, so is this a stroker? the way he made it sound tea also has stroked lt1 makes everyone think he has a stroker to, and I never seen an lt1 car pull 400 sae through the stall.
01-z, Im sure every product can have its problems but tea's have far less problems than other's we have seen, you have the right to an opinion but you should have an explanation as to why and give tea a chance to correct the issue

NE: where are ya'll readin that this is a stroker at?? I made a comment about a local guy running 11.2's with H/C, but that guy has a 355.

GMRULZ has a stock block LT1 which dynoed 400+

NO STROKER MOTOR

i think everyone got mixed up when i started talkin about the other car and not the one in the topic of this post

Mike M: sorry buddie but I wear thongs so they stay up my *** crack.. Its kinda a kinky feelin LMAO
