With a converter that goes to 4200 on the brake, I could give a hoot what happens below there, hell 10 feet out I'm already up in the 5000+ rpm range for the rest of the run.

Ifi the peak shifts up that's fine as well, just puts it up in the power band more, which can't hurt.
JL dotn be suprised if it slows down NA with a semi tight converter, and not alot of gear. The converter will end up a few hundred rpm tighter most likely.

How would this intake work on a smaller motor say a 370? would there be any benefit going from a l76 to the fiber intake? Its a th400 4400 stall nitrous car.

I'm not changing the converter, and honestly the car hasn't been run n/a all season, I swapped the converter that was in the car for one that eastside used in the lsx car that went 8.2x and that's what has been in the car all season, the n/a converter went to 5200 on the brake, this one is a full 1000 rpm tighter.

I dont' care about n/a performance with this car, it's a nitrous car and that's all it will ever see, as long as this motor is in it, and as long as I have it.

I doubt that the intake is gonna make the converter any tighter, and if it does it will probably help anyway, nitrous likes the lug.

If it loses torque, the converter will run a bit tighter. We made 40 more hp with Ashleys car and it pushed the flash up about 400 rpm. Granted ours is starting a bit looser. When ATVRacer switched to his @4" runner sheetmetal from the FAST his flashed a few hundred rpm less.

But if you dont care about NA et's, and no reason to with a nitrous car! losing a little bottom end never hurt you on the gas any damn way

If anything it may help traction, and maybe decrese the wheelstand issues.

But, I have a feeling that a 300 to 400 hit is gonna bring those problems back anyway LOL, probably gonna have to either delay it a tenth or 2, or start off at 50% and ramp it all in in the first .4 or so , either way should keep it down.

I'm looking at a bunch of options at this point, one beign 2 DP's on the car so I can hit it with the first stage right off the brake like I have been, then the 2nd one can come in after a 1/2 second so the car has a chance to hook and settle a bit before dumping the rest to it.

Have to see what will fit where once I have the intake in my hands, I'm thinking a DP with 90 degree nozzles in the carbon runners and an annular nozzle setup thru some bungs that can be drilled/welded into the top for the 2nd kit.
