Yes, but TTI didn't have time to finish the tune. It was a full point richer so I will wait to post the result till the tune is complete.

That isn't good news for this intake with the fueling being a full point richer.

Yeah and to the best of my knowledge, that Wilson metal intake is only for LS7's. I dont think that they have a Cathedral port one yet.
Been out 3 years or so, had one at one point

if the 02 is the car, youll likely slow down. little cam and not a light car.

Why? A runner that short has little to no tuning effect. Its an LT1 intake for an LS1. GM did their homework and figured out the runner necessary to tune engine to make max torque where it was needed. FAST is evolution of that, works a hair higher. Cut all the runner length out of it and you take take the torque curve and cut 30+ fts off the top of the curve and make it flat. LT1s dont make "diesel torque" it just looks flat, it doesnt make the midrange somethign with a FAST style intake will. If your goal is to move as much air as possible, and lose as much bottom end as possible because you make to much to leave on, and work a narrow rpm band, then consider an intake with 3 inch runners.

A 346 is worst place for those dimensions

Everyone looks for the new flavor of the week, and wonders why it doesnt pan out when it doesnt fit combination at all. You can throw all the camshaft at it in the world, you wont pick up much torque maybe crutch it a bit, you can only shift it around. Cant make runner length with a cam.

James/Sheila car is a good example. Good combo of parts 445 inches, and FAST feeds it well, could use more but well. If they can get by with it, think if you do? About double that runner legnth/6" is the shortest Id use on 430+ inch engines turning 7500-8K

Hey Christian,

I spoke with Carlos briefly a few days ago and he mentioned that his A/F was very lean again as soon as he bolted the FAST back on (indicative of better cylinder fill obviously).

Just an FYI...

His track results tonight should be interesting....I assume he is simply going to load his old tune back into the PCM

-Tony

PS....Hey, did your buddy get the intake I sent him?

Not sure. Haven't really paid attention to that.

I'll get a log tonight.

That would make sense if I hadn't accidentally overwritten the old tune. Had to redo it. It's pretty close now and I will finish tweaking it at the track. Heading out in 30 min.

First pass 10.51 @ 128.22 with a 1.45 60'

So basically you're back to your baseline, there were no other problems, it was the intake costing you 4 tenths and 4 mph?

That, is a 100% sure sign that the intake is the problem.

Run car, runs 10.5x

Remove intake, install other intake

Retune car for new intake

Run car, runs .4 and 4 mph slower.

Put old intake back on.

Load old tune into car.

Run car, runs 10.5x.

That says enough.

Hell yeah!!!! BTW, Steve called me tonight, Mike's gonna do the back to back to back on the motor dyno with my intake/tb, the fast, and the fibertuned, i'm assuming it will be scotty's motor, I can't wait to see the results, i'm still curious myself. Even if it doesn't do better, i'll most likely stick with it cuz I don't want to run a direct port and a carb style plate works a lot better (safer/better distribution) than a wet kit on a front entrance intake, but i'm hoping for the best.

So to everyone else, keep ur eyes open, those comparo results will probably be up within a week or two.

I just got back from Slowhawks dyno, we were there most of the day, and got to compare it back to back to a slowhawk ported FAST.
I'll start a write up on it tonight.
