Fast 102mm LS7 vs. LS3/L92 difference????
Anyone else wondering why Fast gained over 20rwhp from their new 102mm intake for the LS7 but, they are only gaining 11hp on the intake for the LS3/L92. The LS7 intake is supose to be the best stock intake that GM has. You would think that these results would be the other way around. Can any shed some real knowledge on this?

L76 working pretty well for me. Maybe the L76/L92 combo is just better from the factory than the LS7 stuff to start with and there's not much to improve on? I don't know.

A stock LS7 intake is suppose to flow 300cfm.. Anyone know what a L76 intake flows? Both intakes flow far less than what the heads do. That much I know.

I'm not really sure how anybody really knows how much hp an intake that isn't even out yet makes. Fast made those claims like what well over a year ago? Their hasn't been any independent testing on them by anyone so we really have no idea what they will make. Also Im pretty sure they dont even say what engine they tested the intake on for the LS3 most likely it was a 6.0 liter. The LS7 intake is going on an engine thats a minimum of 427ci seems to me there is more room to make hp on a bigger engine. Im willing to bet if they do back to back testing on a 427ci with LS3 heads you are going to see similar gains to the LS7. Only time will tell and we will find out soon enough I HOPE lol

After Cartek got done porting the intake and doing the heads they got the heads to flow 330 cfm through the intake. I think people have gotten 360+ cfm through the L92 heads w/o the intake.

There's a reason why a stock ls7 intake flows more than a stock L76.
There's a reason why the Fast ls7 came out before the fast L76.
There's a reason why the Fast LS7, by there own claims, is gaining more than the Fast L76.
I don't expect them to gain the same amount, I'm just wondering why the gap is so wide between the two! Somebody out there knows something by now...
