Default Search failed me, Any L92 style carb intakes with 4500 flange?

Is there anyone making a 4500 flange (dominator) intake for the L92 style heads?

Thanks,
Rick

Nope, Carey might be able to make one of his manifolds work.

GMPP will release one soon but will be for their LSX DR heads.

Really tou can make a ton of power with a 4150.

Robin that your bullet? Looks nice, is the intake composite or alum? Hard to tell from that picture.

That is a 454 that I put together with some spare parts from an earlier deal with the Nova. It has taken me a while to collect the parts needed to complete this deal but now it's ready for the dyno.

That manifold is a 3d stereotith (spelling?) prototype of the LSX DR Domonator flange manifold. So yes it is a composite manifold.

I plan to run that as well as our current HRE twin Dominator manifold for some baseline numbers.

Both engines have Lunati nitrous cams so I don't expect epic numbers. I wanted to get a cam made for NA but my guy is gone from Lunati and they are in a transisional stage right now.

I just remembered, I know lots of guys who machine then weld 4500 flanges on intakes. Most are on SB2 manifolds.

The right guy could handle that.

Scorpion performance makes a 4150 TB with dominator size blades in it.

The reason for wanting the 4500 flange is so I can mount the carb side ways. So if the only option is to have machine work done. I may go with a 4150 and have cut to mount the carb sideways.
Does anyone know if there is enough room to mount a 4150 to 4500 adapter spacer with the dominator sitting side ways?

Probably not, the height will be a problem I think.

Milling out the intake and welding a 4500 flange on would be your best bet, if you need someone that can do it, I know a guy.

I've often wondered... why noone ever made the single plane intakes out of a composite material like a fiber reinforced delrin or something. It would be ultra light, easy easy to port, and would probably be a good bit cheaper then the alum is.

There is a new carburetor from Pro Systems called an SV-1 that fits a 4150 carb. pad and flows 1100+ cfm. More information is available on his website, this would allow not having to hunt for a different manifold. It is also one inch shorter than a conventional dominator for added hood clearance.

That is actually perfect, but about twice what I wanted to spend...

But man, if that performs as advertised, that would be an awesome setup.

Do you really need a Dominator on that 383? If you are worried about that stumble you are experiencing I think a better solution would be to try switching to a 1999 PCM. The whole hood/cowl clearance issue would be better solved with a 4150 throttle body like I have. That damn thing flows 1215 cfm and back in the old days that was Dominator territory.

PM coming Rick.

Also check in the Drag Racing section. That is where I found all of the pics when I was researching mine.
