i just had it sitting around the intake so it would pick up ambiant air. seemed like the best way to get a common temp for all cylinders.

Everyone is asking for pics of airboxes on an ITB set up.

Here is mine and no it is not showing its potential yet, but it should be running again this week.

Hey while I appreciate the thought.....I've seen this pic a while back....It is sexy, until you see the price tag.

The Harrop pic on my buddies that I sent you the link to, is half of the carbon one...

That's definitely some good power from that size cam and some stock castings.

ls2 402 with a set of mildly ports 243's
low 230's cam

this car is an auto car with a stock tq converter-so it idles pretty much just like stock-put down 460rwhp and 430tq thru an unlocked converter.

car is really fun to drive-the throttle response is incredible.

Kevin,no,this is not the road race engine. Here is a pic of the hood

perfect hood for that intake setup too

Dude, they run between $10,000 - $17,000 for the LSx engines. If you PM your email address I can send you all the price sheets on them from Kinsler for the LS1/6/2/3, LS7 straight stacks and LS7 cross ram intake.

They're pathetic how much they charge. They/ll make no more power than the Jenvey or Harrop intakes will.

You can look into these also, not sure about these guys I haven't tried contacting them. Scroll down to all the LSx intakes.

I talk to the guys at extrudabody from time to time they are good guys over there. They come to see us at the PRI show in Orlando we also see Kinsler TWM Hilborn and lot of the other performance guys out there .First off Jenvey
build there intake for performance before they build a street set up .Most of your intake's hit the tracks first and test beds all over the place before they get it right for the street .

We are looking into the LS3 ITB set up as part of the line up from Jenvey if you would like to see this kit made at a good price send a email to sales@jenvey.co.uk we have had calls on this kit but the guy in the UK will not build it if they is no market for it I told them if we can build it for around $3300 shipped it will sell .All it would take is email's from the USA or this forum to say there is a market for this kit then it will get made
Mack
PS send it to Simon or Mike

Just some info: Many of the benefits from ITBs come from the fact that each intake runner is being separated from the others. In addition, the larger the plenum (i.e volume under the bonnet for individual filters) the greater the helmholtz resonance pulses.

By putting an airbox on ITBs and linking the runners, you sacrifice these benefits. On WOT, it should be no better (and perhaps worse) than if you have a single/dual TB. The one remaining benefit is throttle response due to ITB placement. The downside is you have ITBs causing turbulance near the valve.

This said, RAMPANTs setup is still better than a normal intake due to the straight runners and the two banks are partially separated, which should give less interference and a better idle on a bigger cam.

Yes similar... and you can see they have tried to make the plenums as large as possible while still packaging neatly within a confined space. I would love to see them with the covers removed from the plenums.

As already discussed, the main benefits of ITBs on a race car is the throttle response/control. The power is limited by the restrictors.

A little OT, but I was interested in an Inglese setup for an L92. They said this, "We do but it is (currently) an extremely custom piece." I'm gonna give them a call tomorrow for more info.

Another alternative (Hogans lower intake/Inglese stacks)
