Question 100mm Lid Install With No Mods?

Has any one come out with a 4th gen F-body lid (preferably WS6) for the 100-104mm induction systems that will just fit in to place with out butchering the hood or airbox? There's not a lot of threads out there on this subject.

Sure seems like there would be some demand out there. I would like to install this set up with my new engine.

Yea, I've seen these. However, it's my understanding the FTP 104mm lid will hit the underside of our hoods. I've read where guys have had to cut clearance holes to allow this to work. Is this not the case?

Clearance holes? I doubt it. Even the slp lids rub a little on some of the hoods.

this is just a question.. but what is the point of a 104mm lid with a 100mm maf.. seems like a 100mm lid would match it better.. or does that neck down to a 100mm maf not matter?

I think u have a 104mm lid so the 100maf will slip in because the OD of the maf is 104.

Default 104 lid

I have the ftp 104 lid and 100 LPE MAF. I had to wrap the lid end of the maf with electrical tape to take up the gap. The top of the lid hits the top of the hood a little more than the SLP lid did but the hood still shuts, just have to slam it a little. I put some masking tape on the bottom of the hood where it rubs. I don't think there are many options for a lid that size. this is on an 02 camaro SS

Our FTP 104mm rubs a little on the stock SS hood, but really no worse than other lids.

the tb wont be able to be bigger than 85mm. if you want to make use of the maf, a cam and fast 102 intake will work well with the 100mm maf. on an otherwise stock car, i dont see it being THAT much of a help.

No issues with my FTL lid. I confirm when I ordered the sylicone couplings, my od for my MAF is 4" and the lid is 4 1/2 and the 102TB is 4 1/4. I agree on stock cubes, this would be over kill.

My original question was regarding fitment and, fitment only (especially the 4th Gen WS6) not, whether or not it makes sense to put it on a stock LS1. There is more than reason why it's posted in this section.

Thanks for everyones input!
