Default 427 LS2 vs 427 ls7 600 hp goal NA

ok guys well just trying to gauge thoughts and see what other people think and thoughts on my new motor build

the goal is a 600RWHP NA motor that can take 100 shot here or there for fun. will have a T56 behind the motor.

i wana keep build cost as low as possiable but not have a shitty motor. i will spend money where it needs to be spent but i dont want get toooo crazy on the motor. so please do keep cost in mind. just wana see your guys thoughts. thanks guys

if you have some ideas of your own please do tell

option A.
stock c6Z06 427 with H/C/I
block will have stock sleeves
stock crank and rods.

option B.
i think will be over budget a little with this setup but if its wayyyy safer and stronger i would say screw it and do it right.

427 LS2
resleeved
H/C/I

we have found the sleeved ls2's to be very much stronger than the ls7 cylinders.

What's the cost difference between an LS7 short block and a resleeved LS2 427 short block?

This guy did a Darton sleeved LS2 block 427. IIRC it made over 650 HP and is reportedly VERY mild.

So what benefits does the LS7 offer, then, comparing just blocks and bottom ends of course?

the only benefit in the ls7 block is billet main caps-which are def not needed at this power level-we made 1800hp on stock main caps.

yes, either block will work fine. The sleeved block will give you more margin for tuning error.

I was under the impression that the LS7 block had more subtle advantages, such as better oiling/cooling between cylinders, or being overall lighter. Hmm...

all gen 4's have the same water jackets and oiling.if there is a difference-it's certainly very, very miniscule.
