Looks like you're the only guy who made it to the end of page three after all.

Cutlass 455,

Why don't you send me an email with your contact info and the part # for the hat of your choice from www.holley.com and I'll get that out to you sir.

As for product release they are definitely coming out. I'll look to our product manager for a tentative release date. I'm also having one of our graphic designers send me a .pdf of the specs for the products we had on display (which includes the two prototypes from page 1) this weekend for all of you guys to see.

Cheers.

FYI, the intake manifolds look freakin GREAT but lose the "spectre"-esque valve cover covers. either that, or attach neon lights under em.

I am Blane Burnett, THE marketing guy at Holley (plug) that you all seem to have mixed feelings toward at the moment. Congratulations for taking the time out of your busy schedule to take a look at my Photobucket account (if you need any 240sx parts, just give me a shout).

Nonetheless, an explanation is in order. Just before the Holley LS Fest (plug), a few of us decided to create a bit of hype for some of the new products we were going to be showcasing at the event (plug, plug). In that particular meeting, the whole iPhone 4 scandal was mentioned and we laughed and thought about how it, in more ways than one, created quite a bit of buzz for the product (not that it needed any more).

From there the idea snowballed into a joke about going to a local business, taking some of our larger prototypes in there and taking some shots. Several things were done to tip off those who sniffed a rat. The shots were taken with an SLR, as opposed to a cell phone, and the blurred faces were only meant to prolong the interest.

After looking at the first two pages of responses on this forum, it seemed the thread was being taken the right way. We apologize for not coming out with the farce any earlier, but we got really busy with LS Fest (shameless LS Fest plug again). We hope you guys got more of a laugh out of the post than anything else (we sure have) and that you’re excited we have some new intakes coming out.

Interestingly enough, we found further pictures of our LS products from other people who attended LS Fest within this very same thread (gotta love that viral stuff).

Now for the guy that did the detective work…I would offer you some free Holley brand parts for your fine work, but at this point I am not sure how that would be taken. Would that be seen as a buy off or a genuine gesture? I am so confused. Other than telling Holley engineers to hurry up with these intakes, please let me know what I should do to make this right within the LS community.
Cordially yours and a paying advertiser on LS1-Tech forever,

P.S., Earlier this morning I was called to a meeting with our President where I found out, as punishment for my supposed misdeeds, my company car has been downgraded from a Corvette to a Prius. Just kidding….or am I?
I think a tunnel ram at cost would be a fair gesture to those interested enough to post in the thread prior to your coming clean. ive got a motor on the stand im trying to find an intake for it will be like R&D for ya. Ill tell you how many PSI you can put through it before the top pops off!

Is that black cover on the top of this intake made from plastic or aluminum?

After speaking with our Director of Product Engineering I'm happy to let you know that the now the EFI top is a rapid prototype plastic.

In production it will be cast from Aluminum.

As for the .pdfs of the products we've had at LS Fest, we'll have them soon.

If only that was possible dimetweaker. Good try though. I suppose I should've said "let me know what I can do (within reason)."

that tunnel ram/plenum intake looks like it was modeled after the typical serious sheet metal intakes. it looks like it will be a serious contendor. what other tops will be available for it? if the price is signifcantly lower than a typical sheetmetal. i think it will sell very well. i would definitely pay for one.
and currently im biased to edelbrock cathedral port super victor intakes.

So back to the Street Warrior intake.. WHY HAVE YOU SHELVED THAT PROJECT??? It was so worth it to make it.. Especially if you came to market way cheaper than the FAST units like planned.

LOL with the street warrior intakes... they are gone.. they weren't a holley design. The company that owned the design kinda had other ideas.

I should have known it was a pipe dream that Holley would ever consider weight in their decisions... And right where it is not needed, up high at the front of the vehicle.

Hey t4rs14, how about talking to the powers that be down there about making a composite tunnel ram! Make it thick enough for some generous boost and that might keep the thermal aluminum haters at bay.
