Fast 102 on stock cube LS2? is it to much?

Hi I have searched but cant seem to find any info or examples or dyno numbers of this.
My plan is to keep the ls2 engine I purchased stock cubed, however I plan to add cnc ported ls2 heads, and a bigger cam in the high 230s with 60x lift, I already know I will probably lose some low end power I hope I dont lose to much if there is any way I can counter this let me know.
my main concern is if I buy a fast 102 intake and tb will it be to big? and cause low end torque loss on top of the big cam.
my goal is to put together a well rounded engine that can produce me with 450whp after assuming about a 12 percent drivetrain loss.
it will be running in my 82 corvette with a 6 speed and 4.10 gears and 3000 pounds

50 views and no replys? this is like the 4th question I have asked in the past week and havent had anyone answer a single one of them, what happend to all the help that i people use to get on this forum
At some point, a bigger TB is just going to reduce the resolution of your throttle inputs, does that make sense? It may add power, but now when you give it, say, %25 throttle, it is like effectively opening the old TB a little more than %25.

It would be a great addition with the correct camshaft and head work IMO. We've got one on a stock bottom end LQ9 (LS3 heads) in a reg cab truck that just went in the 10s full weight....its got a 100 shot on it but a pass in better weather went 11.39 n/a
picked up a LOT from the 90mm truck intake setup. I know it may not be precisely apples to apples but that intake will work on those cubes. Just don't get caught up in "buying parts". Build a complete well rounded setup instead.

For a grand for what you get, its absolutely worthless...I hear about gains on the net but i have ugraded to fast 102 on my ls3 and ported fast 102 w/ported matching nw on my ls7 z.....Port your stockers and spend your money elsewhere........
It will no doubt be a gain, but is that small gain worth 1,000 bucks? thats for you to decide but if were me i would spend my money elsewhere on the car depending on what purpose/goals you have for it.

For an example i have a full bolt on LS1 with MS4 cam. Made 401rwhp with the STOCK LS1 intake and TB tuned. Made 414rwhp with the FAST 92 and 92mm TB. Not worth the 1100$ IMO unless you are 402 or bigger. Better off with a used ported LS6.

Yeah I dont plan to run L92 heads, I think I am going to go with the 233/239 cam and 2.5 243 heads from texas speed. and match that with a Ported intake and a aftermarket ls2 cable throttle body. I think the stock ls2 ported intake is 93mm so maybe a fast 92 tb will do.
my goal is for about 430 wheel hp. but im also running a eletric water pump and will probably get a underdrive pully as well so I think my goal is very reachable.
maybe one day i can pickup a used 102 on the cheep, but for now ive read that the ported ls2 makes 10 or so whp

What everyone on here is missing is this: On an LS2 ONLY the Fast 102 is a huge upgrade over the stock and or stock ported unti and the Fast is a direct bolt-on, it cost me $822 to make the switch then I sold my ported stock LS2 intake for $300 so figure it out.
An LS3 or LS7 intake to a Fast is a 10/10 gain so no I wouldn't do it either but your not comparing apples to apples either.

Listen to this guy. I'd do an ls6 intake while its TB hole is smaller than the ls2 you will still gain 10-12whp with it all still being stock the fast is only good if you have heads and a cam. A ported ls6 will outflow a prted ls2 while stock for stock the ls6 still wins.

It's not the worst bang for the buck mod people do! Think about a 383....you spend several thousand dollars, have all the downtime and labor to swap, etc all for what? 25-30hp(at peak) and 15-20ftlbs?? Whereas the intake is a 30 minute swap, under $1500, and gains you close to 20hp consistently! If you've already got heads/cam, headers, etc then I say go for it! When you look at the bigger picture, it's not as much of a waste of money like some people say!
