would it be better to run my current bore with ls3 heads and a fast intake?

Or to run i with a smaller stroke and a bigger bore to achieve 427 cubs?

if i did the second option i could use ls7 heads and a FAST ls7 style intake.

what would be the better setup to have and STILL be able to option of boost and be reliable.
No doubt that the larger bore/shorter stroke (4.000)and using LS7 heads would be better for boost down the road. You will have to have your LS3 block re sleeved to achieve that bore though.

Hell ya, if you got the money to get the block re-sleeved.

Yup, if you have the money, get it resleeved. Then you have many more options and obviously you'll be looking at a whole new power level. The new Darton sleeves are longer too, so you can go with a 4.125 stroke with no problem at all.

Do a 441ci like I'm doing...4.125 x 4.125
LS7 ported heads
LS7 ported intake
Big *** TB and MAF
11.5:1 cr
250 shot

Not many things out there that'll beat a 800-850 RWHP street car.

I'm not 100% sure....but I think its about $1550 if you supply the block. Just for the sleeves. Then you need to get it honed/bored to what you want, I think its about $200 depending on how much you bore it..

Putting a huge stroke in a 9.240 deck height LSx requires some bottom of your cylinder notching, so factor that into your build ..the longer the stroke the more notching to clear the rod bolts .. i had to notch a bunch with a 4.00 stroke and 4.125 darton dry sleeves , but 4.100 stroke or bigger i wouldnt know..

I was bored as hell with my 490 RWHP one week after I had my car back. Now I drive it around and its just pathetic........ lol

I guesstimate my 441ci with 250 shot will have around 850 RWHP....it'll be fun for a month I'm sure....but thats it.

After these TT Modular Turbo kits go into a few cars and the bugs are worked out...........its a 1,400 RWHP TT 408ci for me...........in about a year. That should satisfy me for awhile. I know someone with a 1,280 RWHP TT Viper thats quite fun.....he still seems satisfied after a few years. But he was looking into more head work last time I heard from him....hahahahaha

that why people keep telling me.
why not more power why not more power. lol
IM thinking to myself.
ill already be faster than a stock z06.
thats fast enough FOR now, for a street car that im mainly just going to cruise in.

Later on i think ill go with a (nelson intake ls) when they finish it. and add c16 to the equation. ill have different tunes preset for the octane levels.
(also told the electronics whiz up at the shop that i want an interface build into the car that can be (push one button for this tune and another for this tune) "of course itll be within a computer"
I dont know all the details. thats just what i told him and he said he could make it happen. kinda pricy though. but i want it.

as far as performance goes i'll be done with all that. after what i listed above. ^
a turbo or S/C kit will come LATER LATER down the road if i end up getting beat to much. but the people around here, haha they think the fastest car in town by FAR is a 800fwhp talon.
so no alot of BIG standards in this town.
as long as i can kick the **** out of 75 percent of what i come accross ill be fine, i dont mind losing if its a good race. I just dont like being murdered in front of my friends or my girl (which sad to say gets turned on more by cars than by me haha) it seems anyways. lol

the car is going to be beautiful,
with forgeline black wheels with a polished chrome lip. (18s all around)
the car is going to be slammed to the ground with air bags in the back for whole shots that require lots of weight transfer.(pump it up)>(so i dont hit the bumb stops)
has a 6 point chrom-oly roll cage top of the line. painted in gunmetal. A 5 point harness thats BUILT right into the leather seat (looks factory).
Has a line lock.
zl1 $6000 paint job.
(rear zl1 fender flares to fit the nitto nt555 335 rear tires. (13.5 inches wide i beleive)
Long tube headers into a custom oval 2 1/2 inch pipe exiting out to borla XR1 resonators Two on each side.
electronic cutout.

car only has 50,000 miles and i bought it for 7 grand. (with no engine and custom wheels, or zr1 flares)

Hmmmmm.....seems like ambitious build. Sounds like a lot "unspecific specifics". You have a timeline to complete it? summer '11? '12? I live in Michigan as well....where could I run into when its done?
