Default LS2 GTO and vette block diff. Will it still work?

So I just found out after searching on here forever that the LS2 GTO block is different than the vette. I was reading a post where the guy said the mounting points werent even since the GTO engine was slightly offset.

Im just about to buy the GTO LS2 crate I found but need to know if it will work in a 68 camaro subframe due to this offcenter mounting or will I need some special mounts?

I have to change the crank pulley also right to a vette setup?

Ahhh this is getting confusing.

Engine offset in the GTO has nothing to do with the LS2 block; they're all the same. No special mounts needed and it's not different then a Vette. The GTO uses fbody pulleys, so if the engine is complete with all accessories, it will drop right in without changing anything. You will need a controller kit though: https://store.gmperformanceparts.com...troller%20Kits

Hit up the conversions and hybrids section, plenty of info in there with regards to mounts and accessory drives.

Very important to understand this OP. I've been chasing my tail on a couple things wiring related because I have an '06 GTO LS2 and my LS2 wiring harness is based on the corvette LS2 sensors..

That is not true. No GTO's were ever produced with a 58X reluctor crank. In fact if I remember correct the Corvette is the only LS2 produced that got the 58X from GM. Can' remember if the Trailblazer SS got it but the SSR did not.
