Default Radical 102 Intake Manifold for GenIV 6.2L Trucks!

Coming Soon From Peak Speed Shop!

102mm Radical Ported Intake Manifold for L92 owners

We have had repeated requests asking when the FAST 102 LSXrt truck intake manifold would be available for the newer GM trucks with rectangular ported heads. We haven't heard of any plans for FAST to put this into production. This has prompted us at Peak Speed Shop to create our own....

Porting intake manifolds and throttle bodies is Peak Speed Shop's primary business. We have perfected a method for completely opening up the plenum "tunnel" and removing additional barriers that restrict air flow in the 6.2L truck manifolds. This is in addition to porting the intake runners for better airflow. For the Radical 102, we also enlarge the throttle body opening on the intake manifold to accommodate a larger 102mm throttle body. We sell the Nick Williams 102mm drive by wire and FAST 102mm drive by cable throttle bodies for this application.

We will be ready to take orders very soon. You will be able to order from our inventory or can send your intake manifold in for conversion. Details coming soon!

Applications (6.2L L92 and L9H):
2007+ Cadillac Escalade
2009+ Chevrolet Tahoe
2007+ GMC Yukon Denali/Denali XL
2007+ GMC Sierra Denali
2008+ Hummer H2
2009+ Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Vortec Max
2009+ GMC Sierra 1500 Vortec Max

Default Radical 102 gains 23 RWHP!

Just got this great note from a RADICAL 102 LS3 car customer!

“The new addition is great. I didn’t realize how choked up the motor was until the upgrade. I've gotten horse power gains of 23 with the porting and the new 102 throttle body. Thanks for all your help.”
Scott - Ponchapoula, LA – Radical 102, LS3

Any track or dyno results from a basically stock L9H with radical port job with stock 87mm or possibly 90mm TB? Going to the 102 TB is not that beneficial, the extra plenum volume and better transitions should provide 95%+ of the gains.

On a stock vehicle, customers are seeing about a 15 RWHP gain from the Radical Porting. Yes, you are right in that the 102mm throttle body generally doesn't provide a much bigger benefit until you're up in the 450+ RWHP range where head and cam mods will benefit from even greater airflow. With those setups we've seen the Radical 102 setup get around a 23 RWHP gain.

On stock vehicle, radical porting generally picks up 15 RWHP / 18 RWTQ. In both cases, HP and TQ gains are throughout the power curve with the biggest gains in the 4750 - 6000 RPM range.

How exactly do these compare to FAST 102s?

For the price of a radically ported intake plus core charger ($700) one could easily get a barely used FAST 102 manifold...

FAST doesn't make a rectangular ported truck intake manifold that fits the L92 engines. They just make the cathedral port truck intakes. So, this is a great option for L92 owners. On the GEN IV Cathedral port engines that you're referring to, most people have a core to return and so their cost is only $495 after the core refund. Quite a bit less than a FAST 102.

Ok, I'm asking about the cathedral port intake.

And if you already have the core for return, can't you sell that for apparently $200? It's the same thing whether you have one and can sell it to offset the cost or just buy it outright?

I'm not trying to argue here, just having a conversation regarding performance seeing as how it's a pretty direct competitor price wise.

Sure. Perhaps you have a good source for used FAST LSXRT intake manifolds, but we rarely see good used ones come up. And it may not be as easy to sell your used intake manifold for $200 as you think. On the cathedral port 6.0L engines, if you can find a good used LSXRT intake manifold and then sell your used one to net the same cost as what we charge, then I would agree. Get the FAST.

Thanks for quick reply to my post, do you have any dyno graphs before/after?

I've been contemplating whether to keep my 2011 6.2 CC and add a few cost effective mods to hold me over another 1.5 - 2 years as opposed to purchasing a 2015 6.2 (getting close to 2016 models). Does the mild factory VVT cam really have that much to gain with the Radical Porting and if so where is the 15rwhp/18rwtq you mention in the RPM Range?

Default Porting is our business and we are good at it!

Porting intake manifolds and throttle bodies is Peak Speed Shop's primary business. We do a lot of them and have gained a good reputation for high quality work and performance.

Our proprietary process of "Radical Porting" stock LS intake manifolds gains top results! In terms of cost per horse power gained, this is one of the lower cost modifications you can do. A weekend mechanic can easily do it in their garage.
Here is a link for step by step instructions that you can use on most LS cars:
