Ya, for FI a single just makes sense unless TT. I'm still DBC and N/A so dual TB would be no biggy.

Is the Edelbrock unit all cast aluminum?

Any marketing information released regarding power?

It is all aluminum which makes sense because Edelbrock has an aluminum foundry in Southern California.

I wonder if Vararam will be at PRI with any new updates? Were they at SEMA?

There were no reports of them at SEMA. Hopefully they will be at PRI and we can get some updates.

Well, I searched the vendor list at PRI, and Vararam isn't listed. Guess they are not ready to bring it to market quite yet.

Someone on the corvette forum recently posted that Vararam informed them that they plan to have a release date and pricing by Christmas... so we'll see.

"Release date Christmas 2017"

Really hope this pans out and is as low (physically) as they say it is.

I can't wait to see the price and power gains. They should have good gains throughout the rpm range

There could be an entire book written with the amount if intakes and combinations possible !

the Atomic faired very well above 5500rpm in that 20 intake test, nothing spectacular below that though

After being fed up with my carb intake and reading the test...I had intended to try and change from an elbow and modify it all. Browsing ebay though I found a BBK SSI fairly cheap so went for that instead.
I thought it and the Weiand did well in that test, even if not a lot better than the LS6 or truck intakes. Will still be a few weeks before I fit it though.

I had hoped to modify it for 2 inj per cylinder to save buying new injectors, but after trying to weld rail mounts into it....I think new injectors makes more sense.
That casting really doesnt want to be welded !

Must say though, finish inside the ports and plenum etc are terrible. I didnt have high hopes, but it's really rough.

I figure this would be a good time to revive this thread as February is about here. I saw some added information on the Corvette Forum. This was posted on 1/14/2016. Here it is.

"I am sorry your email was buried in our spam file for some reason.

We will be releasing lots of info here very quickly on the unit. Price will be about the same as the others .* It will be Polymer and blk in color.

stock engine gains "*over " *the competition are about 5-6% more power and 7-8% more Torque under the curve we are seeing as much as 10% more Power and Torque over the competition. More for heavily modified engines .*

stay tuned
