steam vent fittings
I'm having a little trouble finding steam vent fittings that will fit between the intake and the head on the passenger side. I've got an MSD intake mated to TFS 260 heads. It is pretty tight on the passenger side for mounting any kind of fitting. I bought a set of Earls swivel 4AN adapters (nice), but they are a bit too tall.
I might be able to machine these down a bit, but have plenty of other tasks waiting to be done and would prefer an off the shelf solution. Anyone know of something that might work?
On a related matter, it has been suggested that only the front of the heads need to be vented for most applications and the back can be blocked off. Is there any benefit (or harm) to just connecting the two rear ports together to eliminate "dead " spots?
thanks.

If you connect the two rears, you might as well put a tee in and run it to the front to bleed off any bubbles.

Hey Low Country, get 4 of the TFS-30600613 fittings, they'll fit. I have your same heads and intake and had to find short fittings and these work. Despite the controversy on steam vents, I did 4 corner on my build. Back cylinders seem to run hot on these and I wasn't going to take any chances.

Thanks. Yep, that would be the way to go. It's just that the MSD fits so tight everywhere the plumbing required to get back to the front looked messy. I'll take a better look at it and work something out.

Take it from a guy that took out #7. The vents are very worthwhile.

If I just connect the two back vents together, T off and run one line up to the front, is that good enough? Or do I need to run two lines up front, one from each side in the back?

Your first plan should work well enough. Better than none at all!
