Zero issues at all with these. Have been running them on boosted and non boosted motors with zero leaks

They do appear to be too long, but if your patient and work the gasket backwards, you can get it to go in. I thought that the gasket must have been an inch too long, but I ultimately got it to go. Took a while. I do like the GM gaskets better.

No issues here, been using these for several years on various engines. Don't stretch them when you push them in the valve cover channel..

Put the gasket in the fridge or freezer for a little bit. It will shrink. Then put it in the channel on the valve cover.

I don't have any trouble at all with them, once they're properly installed into the groove in the VC. If they're installed not standing up perfectly straight all the way around, there's not a chance they'll seal the first time, let alone any times after that. Not getting them in there PEFECTLY is about the only thing I can see that would cause trouble.

I don't think FelPro is any different from any other mfr about that. Only other ones I can specifically recall using were Mahle, and they weren't materially different in any way from the FelPro. Might have been a different color (brown instead of blue?) but other than that they were indistinguishable. Both seem to work just fine if installed correctly.

I use a bit of white lithium grease on them to help them slide in easy. Oil, trans fluid, gear lube, any other kind of NON-FIBER and/or NON-MOLY grease, silicone spray, etc. etc. etc. would probably work just as well. Just a matter of your own personal preference.
