Default LS3 -PD XS Intake **New**

Do we have anyone in this group that has tested the new XS Ls3 intake in a direct comparison on a stock Bore×Stroke LS3, Heads Cam against Fast 102?

If there was a 10hp difference between them, I would be a bit surprised.

Richard Holder tested all there versions on a BTR engine dyno with a 427 with Ls3 heads, however no video showing a 6.2L comparison. Big money for me with a crappy canadian dollar to buy something that might only gain 8hp. We need see an engine dyno and direct comparison. There sold out right now so hopefully will see dyno pulls on YouTube soon.

I don't see this benefiting a stock(ish) LS3 very much.....if at all.

On the other hand, put it on a stroker with all the goodies, ya might have somethin'.

There is a guy on YouTube who just got his PD-XS intake so I'm hoping he does back to back comparison. Will have to wait and see.

From the few results I have found, it looks like the viable gains require cubic inches and a 103mm - 112mm throttle body.

I saw on Facebook somewhere someone made around 520 whp with this intake and ported LS3 heads on an SBE LS3. Wish I could find it for ya, but finding anything on that god forsaken platform is impossible.

The FAST LS3 setup doesn't really gain much vs the stock LS3 intake, but there are big gains going from a stock LS3 intake to this.

I did the FAST 102 with a 102 TB and it followed the stock LS3 intake dyno line. I also smoothed the bell mouth on the runners and as well as port matched it to my PRC heads. No extra power. I did paint it so it looks sick! There is guy silver surfer on YouTube who just got his PD103, so I want him to do a back to back run with PD intake and his stock LS3 intake. To see a real comparison.

Well if you click the link he posted, you wouldn't have to wait. Cordes Performance baselined a car that made 487 whp, swapped the intake, then made 517 whp. Pretty good gain if you ask me

Details of the build are in the link.

Yup, the best part is the powerband didn't suffer anywhere compared to the stock LS3 intake and it started making gains above 4000 rpms and easily pulled all the way to 7000 rpms. Transient fueling was a little wonky at first, presumably because of the large gain in interior volume but it was easily worked around. Only downside to this intake is it's not as easy to deal with installing it and certain cars are harder to deal with obviously.

Those are great gains! I'm selling my fast 102 now and will buy this. The top end is so much better than any other intake out there!

Sorry I don't have one other than what was posted in that thread. I would like to say I will remember to try to take a full picture of it but I always forget stuff like that when I'm down there as I'm swamped.

Yep.....not bad gains for a stock displacement LS3 with ported heads and a 231*/239* cam.

Yep....at least as important as the top end gains.

In the 'Mods' game, you almost NEVER get a win-win......

I just purchased a 103, I will do some soomthing of the bell mouth only and smooth some of other spots for a better transition but I'm looking forward to some great gains. I have a 235 cam, TSP heads and the bells and whistles, hoping for some nice gains!!!!
