In the pic with the long -3 SS line it is a -3 brake line I get from the local dirt track parts supplier. Teflon lined.
So what maybe confusing before I had some LS steam line knowledge I plumbed them into the water pump. The pic was a stock LS1 hard steam line. Again never had a problem.
But on my last few LS swaps I use a truck? hard steam line that has the steam line tube outlet on the right side of the intake. I cut the outlet tube off and drill and tap the block for 1/8" NPT. Then using a NPT to -3 adapter with a 45 degree -3 fitting.
Again not a great pic but it shows the 45 degree fitting.
I've never used a valve in the steam line to bleed it.

Ive often wondered if air gets trapped in that spot once the engine is stopped and due it being higher than the heads/pump any trapped air could be released by pushing the schrader valve open. Just a theory though.

Absolutely no need for anything like that, as mentioned once running that air is moved in seconds.

From my experience in life, those like you who brag about what little you have, aren't much in life. Step your **** up, son. Way to insult anyone here to tried to help your lack of knowledge. Whole lot of talk for someone who can't build the basics.

No one cares. Go attempt to build your junk.
Wasnt here to brag. Simply addressing your false assumptions about my life and insults to my mother. Spoken like a true loser. At least im not afraid back up my claims with proof.

Funny how there are people here reporting the same clearance issues i had and what they did to resolve them while you kept trying to push your point that they all fit fine. Now look at all the posts proving your point wrong. Guess clowns ignore facts in front of their face.

Wasnt here to insult anyone, just you. After your “attempt” to discredit my knowledge, claiming its the gaskets. I mocked with old gaskets before posting. What do ya know, it was the bolts. Notice how my insults were only for you because you wanted to stroke your ego on an internet forum. Everyone else was helpful but you. You wanted to try and call me out so i just corrected you. I could careless about the garage size of others and their material things. Im just an average joe not above anyone. But you wanted to talk **** and compare apples to apples. Difference is i dont have to report to someone for my income like you do.
Maybe you have to step your **** up and be your own boss, son. My car junk ? Nope youre life choices were 🤡 😂

Also my steam line is close to the underside of the TB, but no contact either.
thanks i knew something wasnt right with the bolts hitting the timing cover. Swapped the bolts for some lower profile bolts and it cleared. Decided to fork up some $ and just get the ac delco pump w/o the bolts and insurance of a brand new oe pump
