anyone look at the TPIS unit??? I've had great results with some of their other products. At $2,500 I personally like the looks of this one better. If I decide to go over the 427 cubes in my LS7 I think I'll upgrade to this beauty..

more Hogan like with shorter runers than the wilson so it may suffer on the bottom end.

They got 663hp and 556 trq with L92 heads on an iron block LS1 427. wonder what LS7 heads or better yet those ETP heads would do???

I decided to give this one a try. a little bit longer runner style and quite few hundred less than new for a mock up intake. If it doesn't clear my cowel I'll try the TPIS intake on my 454. motor completion date end of september.

John Beck made for the LS7 heads. It's plummed for nitrous ( won't use it) and LS2/7 specific injectors. Send me an E-mail addy and I'll forward you the lonk to the E-bay add before I purchased it.

Watch it LS7 injectors are shorter than LS2 injectors. Just so you know.

So the bottom line on this $3Grand Wilson intake was "no appreciable gains"?

What I expected all along.

My local tuner installed several of these on thier 'race' LS1 motors years ago, and found no real gain, but a noticable loss of mid range torque. They wound up ripping them out and replacing with runner style lsx intakes.

watch it, most of these were tested on 427 displacement motors. Forced inductionor big cubes see's quite a bit more gain. loose a bit on the bottom, gain much on the top. with either it seems like a winning combo. we'll see as my big cube LS7 comes together.

Do you have anything for l92 heads? Building a 418 ls2 based engine, and looking at tuning it for power above 5k.

I,m my ls-7 427 we ran the Gm carb ls7 style with injectors and a holley TB on it with a 2in spacer it pulled 711Hp at 7000 rpm .In order to get the intake to work we had to port the intake and add a 2 inch spacer the spacer added almost 20hp

We might have a cathedral port Billet Bank for sale shortly, 250 miles on it max, provisions already for MAP sensor, brake booster vac source and vac port - depending on if we can get everythign to fit under this car or not.

The intake I posted pics for on 8-15 is now for sale. It was misrepresented when I bought it as an LS7 inatke, It was actually made for C5R heads and has the nitrous bungs welded in already on the back side of the individual runners. $1750 shipped.

Anyone interested in a cath port Billet Bank, fittings for MAP sensor/vacuum port, 8 AN bung for brake booster hookup already setup? Unfortunately we cant fit the intake on this setup with the stuff weve changed around, its a VERY nice piece of aluminum machinework for sure.

Should be relatively easy, were making around there with 20 less cubes and cathedral port ET head
