I'll try and figure out if the alternator will clear the hood. That is my primary concern. If all is good I can run the Vette items.

The GTO looks almost identical to the F-body assembly hold for the steering pump, does any one have the part #s for them?

Will all those parts mount to the LS2 motor? That would be a great alternative for sure. The best of both worlds.

Yes, will fit LS2 and LS3.

[L76 uses an LS2 engine block]

yeah post those part #'s up. I like those 6.0 covers..

also that Alt part # on the L76 comes up on the GMPD website as a 1/4 panel. I would like to go with this set up but cant find the Alternator price.

I'll have to do some digging on Monday wrt that alternator assembly part number. The drawing I have shows 3 parts to the assembly......the alt body + a long slim pulley (I read somewhere it has a clutch in it) + an end cap hollow washer looking thing for the pulley.
The assembly part number I had is hand written (scribbled) so I'll check it out.

Those 2 piece engine covers above.
I'll send you a PM.

I just phoned a GM parts supplier here in Oz.
Part No 92193199 is good for the Alternator Assembly.
= US$300 if I bought one here today.

Default Got Em.

Thanks to HSV's part numbers I got the alternator brackets for the L76 at my local GM dealer(for cost since I kinda work for them :p ).

The rear brace was on backorder but it arrived a few days after the front bracket. I have yet to put them on my engine, I want to see if I can get them to work with the alternator I have from a LS2 trailblazer, or if I will have to go ahead and order a L76 alternator, which isn't that cheap.

I'll post up if it works soon.

I cant believe no one has mentioned the biggest difference between the 2 motors.... The crank reluctor!

58x on the C6 LS2

24x on the GT0 LS2

Same engine, different crank triggers...

Didn't think it would matter as the OP was asking about an LS2 for an RX-7, either way he'd need to buy a computer to suit the engine he bought.

the 2005 Corvette LS2 was 24x

You guys are amazing! I have a 2006 GTO drivetrain which I am putting in a Miata and this is exactly what I was needing. The GTO placement works great in the Miata but I wanted the accessories closer to the block like the vette for more radiator room. This is perfect! Thanks so much for the info!
