Default Sneak Peek! LSX-PRO Intake

There is a shop here in Australia (Russo Performance together with Shauns custom alloys) are developing a new intake for the LS7/L92/L98 and there is also an LS1 version too

Below are some sneak pics of a unit going on a 438ci motor today which is based on an LS7 block and ported L92 heads.. Nice bit of bling i must say too, check out the quality of the work. Hopefully we can post up progress of the development, not only the sexy fabrication but the gains on the dyno too, stay tuned.... well done Russo and Shaun, looking awesome fellahs!

Pictured is a 90mm TB.

Pricing has not been finalised, but there is a lot of specialist welding expertise going into these, so you get the bling factor too.

It fits under a monaro/GTO with no trouble, not sure about the FBody

+1............ fitting under a gto, versus fitting on a f-body or vette, is totally different ballgame, i mean you can fit a maggie blower on a gto with no hood modification

If someone can get me an idea of the clearance of an fbody vs say the GTO we'll check it out, can someone help?

That looks awesome! Just one question, why are 3 of the 4 fuel rail ports barbed instead of a AN- type fitting?

Construction looks fantastic. This intake would really "pop" if the weld, although beatiful in there own sense, were smoothed and polished over

who ever welded that is an artist. is it possible to make one with shorter runners, for hood clearance, with it not killing too much hp?

Ok, design question. 95% of all the LSx based sheet metal intakes I've seen the transition from the throttle body to the plenum is a gradual increase. With this intake that isn't so and the throttle body tube looks like a circlular peg in a square hole. Why is that?

because the opening is so damn big it doesnt need to be that smooth. Imagine a pebble sitting in a sewer, and that's how much you would be restricting flow.

Looks the goods alright. Will have to see some worthwhile results though because it looks expensive.

Will this fit under the hood of a commodore? I assume it would, but it looks fairly high.
