Rotating the throttle body, LS7

Hi
I'm putting an LS7 in a 4x4 buggy. I've got the engine in but the throttle body (standard) is very tight to the drivers seat.
Can I rotate it 180 deg so that the bit of casting that sticks out is on the other side?
Thanks

Oh, I turned the tb today ![Embarassed](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_emb.gif)
The intake is reversed already. The engine is directly behind the seats with the transmission between the seats. I have a reverse rotation transfer box by my feet feeding the diffs, the rear propshaft runs back under the engine and transmission.
I didn't want the air intake at the rear as I can't get clean, cool air without alot of pipework.
I'll have another look at turning the tb back, just makes the transmission cover difficult to fabricate and will probably have to move the seat over, but better than than compromising the running of the engine.
Thanks!

How about running GM or Edelbrock Carb Intake and convert it to EFI with a HP Throttle body on top. (Holley, Accel, etc). ? or one of those fabericated sheet metal ones that use the Stock type Throttel body and a 90 deg elbow.(or just the elbow on the carb intake). just another option...
yeah. I know. they are costly ones.

I wondered if I wasn't explaining this too well so I took some pics

The last picture shows the tb rotated, I'm turning it rather than flipping it. I'm trying to locate the actuator to the other side of the engine as in the original position it fouls the drivers seat, it's RHD.
Having looked at it again I'm unsure as to how rotating it would compromise performance? After all it's only a butterfly valve in a tube or am I missing something?

Yeah. I knew what you were talking about. Can't really say it will or will not work. but your right.. I do think it should make any difference being rotated.. it is just metering teh air and using the IAC, TSP and DBW.
I was just thinking other options. other than redesigning and remaking your frame.
I though about a Carb intake that has the port injectors on the runners and a 90 deg elbow on the top for the Throttle body to attach to.
This is the 90 deg elbow that I was thinking about that would sit on top of the single plane intake. (or something like it).

Thanks
I´ll try it rotated and see how it works. I would like to keep the engine as standard as possible, there is so much else to play with and adjust on the car that I would rather not have any hassle with the engine.
