Ok I thought they said there would not be an L92-compatible intake? Was I mistaken? Will this fit L92 heads? I'd also like to know if there's any way to stretch the top end by porting.

Yes, apparently you were mistaken. But you weren't mistaken in believing (like so many others of us did) that the L92/LS3/rectangle port version would be released right away/at the same time as the LS2/cathedral port version, so that's good news.

I would like to see how it dose aginst the GM EFI L76 / L92 Intake Manifold, 4-Barrel intake? Its only 348$. I no it will loose low end torq but i know a few people that gain 2 tenths with the EFI vic jr over the FAST 90/90. Hell when im at the track its never below 4k. Im looking at that the alu EFI GM intake with elbow and 92mm tb with a built 6.0 with l92 heads.

I was wondering the same thing. I have a LS3 based (416) forged motor w/ L92 heads that I would like to add some FI to. Any idea on how this manifold works with FI and it's max rpm range ?

From what I'm gathering. This manifold is made for the stock ls1 and ls2 replacement people that have nothing else done to the engine. Doesn't seem that it is doing anything spectacular on the top end.

Would be nice to see the graphs in different colors for each manifold, instead of red for both in Hp and blue in torque for both.

Also didn't Holley file for bankruptcy? Or are they doing a "re-structuring of the company".

Absolutely, I'd like to be able to tell more clearly where in the RPM range the Weiand is producing more power and torque, and where it's falling behind.

It would be great if they could change the dyno graphs listed to clearly differentiate between the two, and also if they would follow this trend when they post a LS6 / Weiand comparison, which will hopefully be soon. As I understand, this was mainly supposed to be an LS6 replacement for street vehicles...

THANK YOU Mast Motorsports for the info....now everybody can shut the hell up

EDIT, let me be the first to ask, because many more will, how does the Weiand compare to a ported FAST on a cathedral-port motor? and how easy will the Weiand be to port?
I too would like to see a big cube/cam cathedral port motor, as i am about to replace my ported LS2 intake.

Not sure what's going on with the Holley bankruptcy and how or even if it has been the reason for the delay of these intakes so far (or in the future).

I'd actually thought that it was more for LS2 intake replacement as that one is really the weakest performing (yes many consider the LS6 intake manifold even with it's smaller throttle body opening to be better flowing than the LS2 intake manifold) of the bunch.
I'm assuming that it's designed to replace both.

Seems like it might not be as huge a gain for people that have the LS6 manifold already, but with some heads and a cam I bet midrange will improve over the LS6. It already looks like it does better on the smaller displacement motors overall

Mast, things for doing the testing. It really sheds some light on what this intake will do.

While we would always love you to do more testing, this is certainly more knowledge than we had beforehand!

Your car would be much better off with a vengeance or mamo ported fast than the street warrior.

I wonder why they didnt test against the LS6 manifold..

Its always been obvious that the LS2 manifold sucks. I dont understand why they didnt test against the MAIN competitors. LS6 and FAST..

Hopefully they will do some more tests against different manifolds. But then again, maybe they did, and they werent worth posting..

Congrats to Mast for stepping up to the plate on this.. Its good to finally see some progress.

Yeah the Warrior vs. Fast vs. LS6 should be the next set of test. But i'll go as far
to say that if it out powers the Fast i'm sold. I have many reasons for not liking
the Fast. I like the fact the Warrior is one piece there's no chance of seals leaking.
It not made of shitty plastic that splits or cracks. And it looks like it cost be alittle
more cost effective. But time will tell. In the mean time i'll stick with my stock
'02 intake.

Someone please decipher the LS3 HO graph.

Which is which on the hp line.

Tq looks like a good improvement-about 20rwtq more at peak and 15 at the very end of the run.

Be interested to see what someone like Cory Harris could do with this intake.
